I thought you all might be interested in reading this. It's pretty good.

I also posted a link to an interview with Allen Rogers, editor at Wired, about Gygax and D&D in the Steve Chenault NPR thread (http://www.freeyabb.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... llordgames)

But this print article is excellent. Thanks for the link.

Thank you very much for having linked this. Of all the articles and books I've seen and read over the last thirty years on the RPG phenomenon - some of them academic, others sycophantic and yet more (Chick! Chick!) hysterical - this one stands damn near the top in terms of its narrative style, journalistic objectivity, unquestionable depth of research and obvious care that Mr. Kushner took to ensure that he was getting the essence of a man's story. Very, very well done; I am certain that Mr. Gygax himself - and I am convinced that he's looking at us right now, from the top of that wall - is giving the thumbs up.

Thanks, Jonathan, for posting that. That's the best article on Gary, Dave A., the game, the hobby, etc. I've seen.

Yes, thanks for the link. I am afraid I must stop reading these, however, as each one just makes me miss Gary all the more.
