RPG Lame Names

I was looking at one of the monikers for one of our posters here on the boards, and it got me to thinking about some of the hokey and lame names I, and others, have used for our RPG characters in the past.
For example, I once had an NPC in old AD&D campaign of mine, an Anti-Paladin by the name of Kursus Foydagane (as in Curses, foiled again).
I was just wondering how many of you out there had other humorous, lame, or other strange names for your PCs or NPCs?
Let's hear 'em!

I can't say that I've had hokey names for my characters (at least not to me), but one of my players has had these names for his characters in his gaming career:
Nofyk EnWay
Gonadus
Keebler
Two of my latest characters, which some people groan at, but I liked a lot are:
Rommel Ogdenbrun
Stahlin Underbow

Both of these were names of characters of a longtime player of mine:
A sprite by the name of Sevenup.
A halfling fighter by the name of Simon Sez.
I groaned both times when I initially noticed the names.

I used to play with a guy who'd always have names like Fred the Smasher, or Bob the Crusher.
This was the same guy who once played a paladin, and killed some captives so the other party members wouldn't take his share of the loot. Yeah...

Have you heard Mike's (Zudrak) son's RPG names? "Womport", which he said he took the word 'Airport' and just took out 'Air' and added 'Wom'. And then there's Avrid, whom he said he got the name by thinking of the word "Effort", I believe it was.
The other night when we were at a RPG/Comic Store, he was looking at Batman comics and suddenly came up with the name "Gombat", which he said he wanted to use for a new character.
I can't get over how smart and imaginative that kid is sometimes.

The really, really dumb Hobbit I spoke of elsewhere on the board this week, the one named Ben I rolled up for a "tweener" game?
His character sheet says Ben S. Thedor. Ben Shone Thedor.
His father didn't like him very much.

I don't know, probably Rock, my 8th level fighter who died by falling into a well. His plate mail made him sink.

I have an old grizzled, bald, male dwarf as an NPC owning a bar. He is the surliest dwarf you could ever meet, goes by the name - Harry 'Happy' Oaklegs.

A player of mine had a mage named Thac0 (yes, that's a zero, not an 'o').

One guy named his half-orc paladin Ximus Boxumus.
He also named a character Regis Fillman. When I laughed and asked him if he was thinking of certain morning talk show hosts when he named his character he had this confused look and said "No". Like he honestly didn't see any connection.
I've heard of a halfling rogue named Bunny Socksoff. I thought that was pretty dumb.

Guilty.
Back in the day, we moved to a new town (island) and it was absolutely Power Gaming God Mode mentality.
My brother & I were all about playing characters true to form & sharing great stories and adventure. It was hard when everyone had two +5 Vorpal Swords, 10 rings of Unlimited Wishes, and Floating Castles being defended by Space Ships (this was D&D).
I was told to make up a 15th level character to play. All my characters have started at 1st level. So to appease our new "friends" I made the character "Barcus Sacrum." Initials = B.S
I played him one night and never played with those guys again. The initials fit these gamers to a tee.

Did that group have a branch group in Virginia Beach, Virginia in 1985?

Hahaha.
This was in Puerto Rico 1983. Naval Base. So it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. I have never ran into another group of gamers like this since.

Thanks, Joe. I didn't hear his "Gombat" story. He amazes me -- especially considering the lame-o names that I have come up with over the years.
My first PC, Thor Guth (named for the Norse god/Marvel superhero + the name on the first 3-ring binder I ever owned).
My archer: Retro.
My first female PC: Alisa (named for my newborn sister).
Good thing I stayed behind the CK/DM screen more often than not, so my named characters could only stick around long enough to be derided for just a session or two.
The one NPC, "Ogden" by name, became annoying to the players for some reason, so after they rescued him, I had him take a job at the Whistling Fish as a cook. I felt it was too good an opportunity for the cooks at the inn to be "Ogden" and "Fedden"... I'm lame, I know it, but at least now I can go to my 5 year old for good ones. *sobs in shame*

My first self-generated (as opposed to pregenerated) PC was a halfling fighter-thief named Bilbo. Oh, the shame! On the plus side, I was probably only 9 years old at the time. The real embarassment came when I got a whiff of puberty, thought Bilbo needed to get himself a wife, and my dad started questioning why. That was more awkward than The Talk.
I had a friend back in those elementary school days who rolled up a character and, when asked what the PC's name would be, said "I dunno." The character was known as "Dunno" ever after.

Oh man, my original character's name was EFSPECIES when I was about 11 years old. Female fighter playing out of the Mentzer Basic set.
Uggh. Totally forgot about that.

Would they track down their ne'er-do-well fathers and confront them, saying, "My name is Mittens, how do you do?!? Now, you gonna die!!!" a la Johnny Cash's "A Boy Named Sue"? Just wondering...
