Sounds suspiciously like the perfect plan for black dark matter aliens from beyond the universe to invade our planet to me.
I'm just kidding, of course!

Well, it's more like a celebration of people getting together globally for a good cause!
It'll be a good excuse to get naked, put on body paint and feathers and run around my house and back yard with a torch ~ howling at the moon!

First time I heard of this was today. And I sincerely doubt that anyone in Memphis will dare turn their lights down for an hour.

I certainly wouldn't advise it in Chicago or New York. Either that or make darn sure you don't leave the home.
Heck in New York in the 70's they had riots in the city when the power went down.

Heh, I'm sure they were ready in Chicago - at least I hope so. I mean it wasn't a powergrid shut off or anything silly like that.
So far I've heard that about 200 buildings shut down lights - John Hancock, Sears Tower, etc.
And the Wrigley Field sign at 1044 W. Addison!

OK, here around Castle Frankfort ~ we played naked Twister under candle light. Then put on the body paint, feathers and Viking helms and ran around the neighborhood egging those houses with full lighting.
I pulled out a Cuban cigar for this special event.
Then back inside for some singing Kum Bay Yah and hand holding.
I then saddled up Silver and took him out for a ride with my pet worg, Leon. Heh, that scared the crap out of the people at Gas City and 7 Eleven!!
Oh yeah, I hugged three trees.
Pretty good participation in my realms.
Next year, I'm going down by my buddy Kim Khartsfield in Little Rock, to kick some ass and break windows at his house. Hmmm, perhaps a large paper bag of Silver's horse droppings lit on fire on his door step???
What'd y'all think about that??

Ross,
Surely that would usher in the Endtimes? Dogs and cats living in sin?
I'm a Sox fan to the core...I doubt I'll ever get beyond that- unless maybe they skip town. Even then... Grandma Rutherford cheered the Chiacgo Cardinals and cursed the Bears to the end of her days.
That stubborness might be a Irish/Scottish thing, or it might be that my family's full of @@@@heads. Maybe both.
I did make a concession to my Cub fan buddies last year. I didn't actively root against the Cubs in the playoffs. No rubbing it in after they lost.
I was just...cheerful...the next day.
I must have got soft after the Sox won it in '05

Haha. No, only this ~ my wife is a south sider and I'm a north sider. So, I'd wear Cubs, she the White Sox. And my daughter would have one of those split uniforms.
And we'd ride the elevated/subway trains to the games - north to south, south to north.
Gary's spirit would sit with us in the left field bleachers of Wrigley in the special bleacher bum's section.
In fact, he'd throw out the first fireball!

Funny, Sir Kevin. You haven't mentioned it, but I'll assume you've been to Wrigley.
If not, every Sox, no every American League fan, no every American ~ must go one time in memory of the Babe.

Sure, several times. Back in grade school they used to give free Cubs tickets for making Honor Roll.
As a youngster I even cheered for the Cubs until I was brought back into Orthodoxy by my older brothers.
One time I was even right behind homeplate as my brother got free tickets from a client. I did have particiapte in OPERATION MAYHEM in a small way- so I filled out a bunch of Allstar game voting forms selecting any player who WASN"T a Cub.
I should get you up to a Bears game one of these days. I have Sox tickets as well, but for not as many games as the Bears.

Hey Otto. Nice avatar. LOL.
Wow, opening day. It's hard for me to think baseball as it's still snowing here as of late. Seriously, we gotta get some spring time weather going for Wrigley field. Send some of that nice Texas weather up 'round yere.
As Ernie used to say, "Let's play two!"

He only said that in the hope that they might win one.
