Raven's Keep

I have been thinking of reopening Raven's Keep. I was wondering if we really need anothe C&C messageboard with more of the same or not.

I have been thinking of Gearing it more towards Airhde, Yggsburg and Classic Greyhawk over straight C&C and also making it a place to maybe work on old pulp style writing (S&S, Wierd Fiction, Horror and the odd detective or western story).

So I was wondering if it would be supported enough to reopen or are we good enough witf here and the DF forums?

BTW, your not going to hurt my feelings by answering either way.

I do think another C&C forum is probably not needed, but I love your idea about focusing it on settings, especially the ones you listed. Certainly provides a focus that isn't seen anywhere else!

Making it a settings forum for C&C sound like a good niche. I would keep it open to any and all setting "conversions" done for C&C. Focus being what the Trolls and Gary do for C&C.

Two things.

One I find it funny you have the Green Dragon in there. Not only was that in LotR, but it is the name of my old game store in Charleston, SC.

Two: Do you have some kind of mission statement for what the site is primarily about?

The new mission statement is in the works. Basically, it will say that we are C&C based and working to develop the campaign settings for it. More of a flavor thing and less rules.

I feel that there are too many sites for rules for the relativly small fanbase so I went with a different angle.

As to the Green Dragon it was also the inn owned by Robliar in the original Greyhawk campaign.

I like it, Jullian. I registered and will post from time to time.

I believe the Green Dragon was also the tavern in which America's largest tea get together was concocted.

More C&C is ALWAYS welcomed, but I post to so many boards that I probably won;t make it over there. This board seems to be doing nicely for my C&C needs at the moment.

But there is always room for more C&C goodness!

Lately the traffic at some of the other C&C fan supported sites seems to have slowed down, but many posters have mentioned cycles of activity and the fact that many subjects have been already thoroughly discussed.

However, with so many new converts and many more to come, I do think there is room for additional forums, whatever their focus is. And, I know that new subjects will continue to present themselves.

So, glad to see the Raven's Keep is open for business again.
[Oh, and don't forget The Green Dragon in Yggsburgh. That's where our next adventure begins!]

Things seem to be going well over there and thanks for the support. I may be overstepping my bounds here but I wanted to let you all know I opened an "Anything Goes" forum for members only.

Julian's Still will be very lightly moderated and it will let us get out some frustration that we normally can't in normal public.
