I have to agree with this. I loved what was done with BFRPG and would choose it as a secondary system behind C&C. That work was damn near genius.

This is one of the projects I have going...

Just got done watching the Incredibles and started wondering how the SIEGE Engine would work for a Supers RPG.

SIEGE works well with Supers. I have a start of a game based on such, and there is going to be an official release (Victorious!) at some point.

Coolness. Took a crack and M&M but it really isn't GM friendly and much of the actual mechanics for play I still haven't figured out. Gettin too old for much more than straight-forward simple I guess. *chuckles*

Y'know, `plex, I really don't think it's age. I think that -- after you've tried 17 hundred different game systems -- you experience The Moment.

For me, The Moment first came one night as I was struggling to put together a Hero System adventure quickly for the next day's gaming session.

At a certain point, I put down my pencil in digust, and asked myself, "Why am I working so hard, and burning so much time, just to have a little FUN?"

I cleared all the Hero stuff off my desk, and did something else instead -- something with a fast-and-simple GM friendly game system. The players had a great time the next day ... and so did I.

So, I don't think it's age at all -- I think there comes a point when you realize that you need game systems that will work _with_ you, and help you do what _you_ want to do, quickly and easily.

That's why games like C&C and Classic Traveller survive in my gaming repertoire, while so many others have been sold or given away.

You're not old, `plex, you're just tired of rules systems which try to rule you!

I started a traditional adventure gaming blog last week: Silver Blade Adventures

I also completed the beta version of Orcs' Nest (in the process accidently introducing a new error into the text), made two dozen copies and took them along to my local game stores for free distribution. Even if they all end up in the bin unused, unread and unloved, it was still a pretty fun thing to do.

Well, besides the projects I'm overseeing...

I'm currently working on a couple of small scenarios. One of them I ran a few months back so I'm now polishing it off and expanding it. The end result is intended for publication as part of our digest line with Arcana Creations. The other is intended as a more of a desert type of scenario where I'm still pulling some of the concepts together.

Longer type projects include "Zombie Siege" and an accessory for C&C entitled the "Hunter's Bestiary".

Creating a rules set for Domains in the C&C game. Long have I thought that the cleric is a bit underpowered in terms of the mechanics for C&C. In order to spice them up with a few unique spells and/or powers, I decided to implement domains, kind of like v3.5. However, I'm having a hard time make the domains a bolt-on mechanic from v3.5. I like the concept, but an having a hard time making domains different enough, and still working with C&C.

Besides this, I am still on my eternal quest to finish up rules alterations for my C&C Age of Might (Age of Antiquity DragonLance) campaign.

Also, mired in the muck of re-writing (streamlining) the Castles & Crusades White Box rules.

Wow, tough question. With my super ADD, it could be any number of projects this week, and then, before any are remotely completed, I am off on a new tangent.

Lately, I have put a lot of effort into an epic Airhdian adventure series that I plan to submit to Steve. If anything else, it will be a fun adventure to run at the next Con.

I am also working on my Pankratiast class, and it is getting closer to completion. While it can be plugged into any campaign, I am fleshing it out to include typical training locales in Airhde (the colloseums of Brindisium and the temples of Tagea, for example) and adventure seeds that showcase the Pakratiast class. My dream of replacing the asian flavored monk class is close at hand.

And artwork for the C&C Society Domesday Book......and for my above mentioned projects too.

Not currently working on anything C&C, but I need to be thinking up a companion adventure for the last piece I sent in for Crusader.

I'm working on two things for publication currently: a Savage Worlds conversion of SpirosBlaak, a setting I formerly published as Bizzaro Games in conjunction with Green Ronin (Misfit Studios project); and I'm working on a fiction conversion of the Rogue Mages apocalyptic novels by Faith Hunter in an M&M-based game to be called Rogue Mage. RM is in editing (Spike Y Jones is the editor), and will be published in book form through BellaRosa Books and pdf by Misfit Studios.

I'm working on a map for a client's private campaign (paid in advance, w00+) and a couple of freebie pieces for a DF publication, as well as some personal projects.

I've a mind to start a C&C campaign with an al-quadim bent, but I haven't had the time to put any effort into creating it yet. Soon, it will come to pass.

Jason, I'd love to see your Shaiir class when you've converted it.

I'm currently working on a Module for Arcana Creations slated for May 2010 called Hide in Plain Sight. I'm very excited about that. And also working on an accessory for digest sized release by AC for, ideally, Holiday shopping season, the title is a little up in the air, but it should be a good resource for any setting and maybe even any system. and I usually putter around with 3 or 4 things that I send over to the Domes Day Book just for kicks.

I am slowly putting my campaign setting back together. I'm not starting it from scratch, but I am adding in a lot of new elements, and retiring a lot of old stuff. I plan on making it dual-compatible for C&C and 3.5, as those seem to be the systems I plan on playing for my fantasy fix for the forseeable future.

I have been bouncing around some ideas for a 'swords & sorcery' variant of C&C that might even include some sort of tiered combat abilities system reminiscent of Exalted or Iron Heroes.

Ooo, I'd be very interested in how your domain rules come Omote. I have been using the 3.5 stuff, powers, spell straight for now, making tweeks as I see fit.

I have not looked too closely at CSPerkins Unearthed Arcana. I guess I should, as his stuff is really inspiring.

I am having some trouble making the domain idea both beneficial to cleric characters, without them being uber p0werZ, and having them not feel like a direct ripoff of 3E. At the same time, I just don't want them to be like priests from 2E where you get a new ability or spell every so often. It's been dragging I admit. Plus, Google Sites screwed up my web pages pretty bad and I have to rebuild them. Ugh.

Having seen your Domain rules I had an idea the other day that I think would be a good implementation based on something from FR 3.5, the initiate feats, basically each religion has one minor power and 1 -4 unique spells specific to the religion. I think this would fit nicely with the idea of unique clerics while not becoming a huge power up.

As far as what I have been working on for C&C, is trying to work out a campaign set in the Black Eagle Barony based on the old school module in search of adventure. I want to have a unique spells for each of the major immortals and a few other world specific things.

That's not a half bad idea. And, it goes along nicely with the way deities are presented in Of Gods & Monsters. Working on the Age of Might rules alterations for the DragonLance antiquity project, I think I have already started something like this for that game. Hmm. Lots to think about now.

Good to hear about that Black Eagle Barony game ComFur. Sounds great. There are a lot of Immortals in that setting. Have you decided to use a specific group of them, or go balls out and use the immortal lists presented in the Hollow World box set, or even crazier the immortal lists found in at www.pandius.com ?

I was thinking more generic immortals then the ones presented. No one I game with except maybe omote even knows anything about the existing immortals plus to be in line with the story of in search of adventure I need a couple new ones so I was going more the way of a dozen or so immortals based off a combination Norse/Greek mythology +Rad because of his unique status. in addition, I was going to have several unique Greater demons and a Couple Arch Angels

So this is the list

Wotan - Greater immortal

Ares - war god/Evil

Myria - Time goddess

Ulric - war god/Nuetral

Dion - Goddes of Pleasure/Consumption

Hera - Greater immortal

Loki - God of luck/Mishief

Titan - God of strength/athletes

Charon - Goddess of Death

Maple - god/goddess of Nature

demons - beasts of entropy

Orcus

Tyrantharaxus

Azmodeus

Azaduhaka

Rahu

Arch Angels - saviors of light

Rivenesh (Fallen elf) - nuetral

Rapheal

Eros

Tyr

Tempus

Lathander
