It's Alive

Post by DangerDwarf »

I'm still alive and kicking.

I've been having some health problems here lately that have kept me from work and pretty much everything else. But, I'm back at work and been messing around with the computer a bit here lately as well.

I've got absolutely zero gaming in here for the past 2 months or so though. Now that I'm back on track however, me and my group plan on starting our gaming back up next week. Looks like we'll be playing WH 40k Dark Heresy.

Looks like I have a few C&C purchases to catch up on too.

Anyways. Howdy folks.

There was actually a thread a month or so ago asking what happened to you.

Welcome back and glad your doing better. I hear Texas can use every Corrections Officer they can get.

Hey DD, good to see you're doing OK.

Not running any Midnight lately huh?

Yeah... I'm the same, got so much to play and no time to do (I just quit working lol).

Glad to hear you weren't part of those riots a few weeks ago! This health issue might've been a good thing if it kept you outta that mess.
Anyway, glad to hear from you again!

Yeah, I'm ready to start kidnapping folks from other states and put them to work for me so I MIGHT actually have enough folks to run my shift these days.

Nah. Not for a little while now. We figured since everything came to a screeching halt when I wasn't doing so hot,we'd kick off with something we hadn't tried yet. Looks like at least a couple sessions of Dark Heresy to see how it plays. Then prolly some homebrew C&C stuff I came up with when I was laid up.

The bustling hamlet of Tennessee Colony. Nothing really here but prisons and cows. About an hour from Tyler if that rings a bell.

Looks like I missed a lot of RPG happenings in my absence too. FFG picking up Warhammer 40K? Paizo doing their Pathfinder thing? And of course Gary.

Bob B., the founder of Judges Guild, passed away around April 20th too. There is a stickied thread about it in this forum as well.

Fortunately his sons/family are fulling supporting the continuation of projects/licenses. So we will see the AGP Wilderlands Players Guide for 3e and C&C, and maybe 4E depending on the 4E GSL, etc...

Yes, this PG is a redo of the same one done by Necromancer, but added/altered content, better ToC and indexing, etc...

I'd never heard of this place, so I Googled it. Two funny findings. one was that Google tried to suggest I search for "Tennessee Colony Prison" instead of Tennessee Colony. Second was this introduction at another site:
Quote:
A large group of settlers from Tennessee and Alabama settled here in the late 1840s and judging by the name, there were more Tennesseans than Alabamans.

hah! Yeah, we have a cluster of 5 units here on about 20,000 acres. The town itself has nothing but a general store and a church.

That made me laugh.

DD glad to see you back. I've been suffering without our usual antics to pull. Glad to see your better and ready to kick some more.

Now, Tyler Texas is something I know of especially if you're familiar with the history of Garner Ted and the WWCoG. Also I have joined the ranks of the nether walkers. I'm night shifting for possibly the next 5 years at a big shop here.

After years of the nocturnal life, they just recently assigned me to the day shift here. Well, they tell me it's day shift anyways. It is dark when I leave for work and dark when I come home. I do see the flaming ball of fire in the sky out the windows though. It is scarey and burns my skin and eyes no matter how many virgins I sacrifice to it.
