Damn it!!

Why do those bastards have to put out such good stuff!!!

Seriously, Everytime I see Aerth stuff I have the urge to pony up for the setting..... I am a sucker for settings (like you couldn't tell, huh?) -- but I'm already torn between Aihrde and my own, not even mentioning the Eastmark and, of course, Greyhawk. I finally gave in and got the Wilderlands, which luckily I like more as a resource rather than as the master setting.

** Calm ** takes deep breath.... ohhmm ..... ohmmm... (sits in lotus position).....

Ok... I'll be fine.

On more serious note, has anyone heard how Goodman's going to deal with the GSL? Is the DCC line going exclusively 4e and what about C&C conversions? I like and use their stuff a lot.

Yup, pretty nice. Lovely interactive map of Aereth.

I checked out the site briefly. It looks to be much better than the old one.

Well, you're not alone. I bought the Known Realms when it came out and I have something like 10 published campaign settings (Wilderlands - originals and new boxe set, Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Mystara, Yggsburgh, Aihrde, plus a few others). And what's even more telling is that Goodman Games has sold through their stock of the DCC world boxed sets. So, while the DCC world is still available in print from retailers, on-line sellers and such, the number available is gradually shrinking.

RE DCC line and 4E: the DCC line is absolutely going exclusively 4e. Anything beyond that specifically is mostly just speculation since the GSL has still not been released.

From the sound of it, if Goodman wanted to continue doing C&C modules, since C&C is a different 'brand', he could.

He can, but the liklihood is he could not convert 4e DCCs to C&C or 1e, as he has done in the past. D20 DCCs are something of a question mark if they are converted to 4e, but I do not think that would be a sustainable market anyway [i.e. selling D20 2e versions of D20 1e products].

That would be great. Even if no "new" DC's were made because a lack of compatability, there's plenty of "old" DC's that haven't been ported over to C&C. Enough to last several years, at least.

How is the Box set DCC?

I keep trying to talk myself into getting it but the sheer cost of box sets these days talks me out of it every time.

Which one?

The campaign setting one? I only know of one, are there more?

The Known World one (or whatever it was called) and Castle Whiterock.

The Known Worldish-like one interests me. I just don't know if it is worth the cost.

I have them all, well, except the adventure path set they did. Are they worth the price? I think so, but I have yet to use any of them. I enjoyed reading them and thought they were well done.

Kool update to the site. They needed it too. Still looking forward to their C&C release(s).
