...maybe the delay is due to the Chaosium guys having original copies of BTMOM and don't want to lower the value of their collection?
Halfprice is ok, but Recycled Books here in Denton is far and away better. HP might have more volume (though RB is 3 stories overall) but there's so much chaff to sort through for the gems.

This isn't a bookstore find, but I was looking at Noble Knight Game's catalog last night and saw that a game I own that used to sell in their catalog (SW no less) for around $10-$15 is now selling a VG copy for $50 (?) Its Timeship from Yaquinto Publications, a publishing house that dallied with wargames and RPGs in the 1980s. Timeship was a poor game about time travel and while the concept of playing "yourself" was different the system was overall lame.

Anyone know why there might've been such a sudden jump in value?

Man, I loved CoC!

Unfortunately, I haven't played since the early 90's, so I completely missed out on BMoM.

Yikes! $148 through Amazon and $180-$200 on eBay. I'll have to add it to my "watch for it" list and hope for a better deal.

I have paypal account. I could go buy it for you for the $90 plus 8.5% tax. I don't plan on going there until next month though. It is about 55 miles away.

I also would give no promise on "collector condition" either, I just know it looked good, over all. I didn't look for any wear issues. I can only say that no damage popped out at me.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Wow! Thanks for the offer Treebore, but that's OK. I'll wait and see if they rerelease it. Besides, Upper Works is the next big purchase!

OT: I'm not familiar with the newer editions of CoC (I have the Old One with the dark cover[4th ed I think]). Are the rules much changed/revised since then?

[EDIT] I think I answered my own question. Doesn't seem to have changed much (which is good!).

I got this at my FLGS:

Dark Suns boxed set

Ravenloft boxed set

Karameikos boxed set

Master Set for D&D (which when I opened it up had the Immortal books and IM1 and IM2 thrown in there with it

All of the products were in good shape so I was pretty happy 'bout it.
