Dungeon Tiles?
Looking for decent sets of dungeon tiles that I DONT HAVE TO PRINT. or failing that, ones that are easy on the print cartridges.
Are there any out there that are worthwhile? I think Steve Jackson Games had some awhile back that I had seen. Any other companies? I'd prefer some that are pretty thick, but any of good quality would do.

Haven't you seen the ones WOTC sells? Paizo has some that I like too, but I am guessing the WOTC versions are more what your looking for.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Nah, I didn't see anything on NKG by them in that area. The Paizo maps are cool, I'm just looking for tiles though.
The Steve Jackson Cardboard Dungeon ones would work, I just think they are on the flimsy side.
What I'd love to see is ones like used to come in the Advanced HeroQuest game. THOSE were some heavy duty tiles.
If worse comes to worse, I could always print some, I just hate eating up all my ink that way, plus I'd feel the need to mount them on cork board or something to make them not suck.

These are the ones I was talking about:

Yeah, these are great. Tree and I have discussed these from time to time. They really are excellent for quick dungeon generation. Almost like shuffling a deck of cards.
High quality and a little cheaper at NK games as I recall.
Hmm, I see I need to buy some of the newer dungeon packs.
Thanks Tree.

The easiest thing that I have found to use, is a one inch checker-board tablecloth, using elements from several of those Dungeon Tile sets, and the use of the half million bottle caps I've saved to use for walls, trees, doors, or whatever else happens to come to mind at the time.

I have not had any problems with the SJG Dungeon tiles. They work great for our bunch. The only problem is finding a set now days.

I have the Dungeon Tiles from the Fiery Dragon / Skeleton Key Games co-op and the the WoTC Dungeon Tiles.
The WoTC tiles win hands down. They are more "photorealistic" and the hard cardboard they are made of is almost as sturdy as wood. They are excellent and I have no need to look for other tiles anymore.
Incidentally, I had to glue the FD / SKG ones to cork to get them to the thickness I wanted. The WoTC come already thick enough. An excellent product.

The WOTC tiles are nice. Just the right thickness of cardstock, durable, attractive--even atmospheric, I'd say. Plus there double-sided, so there's no waste! A parent of one of the boys in the gaming group at my school works for WOTC. She arranged to give the school a donation of several sets along with samplers of the plastic minis. I tell you, you never saw a happier group of kids in your life.
Frankly, I've gotten a lot of mileage out of a good battlemat (ivory, to avoid glare) and a set of colored pens. It helps if you can doodle a reasonable likeness of a tree or treasure chest in seconds. You don't get the "terrain features" of a set of tiles, but it's easy to lay out a quick representation of your setting, tailored exactly to the dimensions you want. I'd recommend getting two: one with a square grid for interior spaces, and one with a hex grid for the great outdoors.

I picked up three of the WotC tiles along with the Free RPG Day tiles and am quite pleased with the quality of the stock and it's look.
Definitely, and with out a doubt, worth it if you are playing with mini's. At about $10 a pop the price is good too. Thanks for pointing me the way of those things.
