Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Yes, another legend passes.

Indeed, Carlin was one of the "creators" of modern stand-up... not the Gygax of that world (that probably would have to be Lenny Bruce) but certainly one of the most influential.

RIP

He was also very insightful and articulate. I remember him on an episode of Politically Incorrect - the politicians he was debating looked like complete asses compared to him. I was sad to hear of his passing

I'll miss him. I've been enjoying his humorous outlook and take on the human condition and how we all interact for so many years now. He really made you laugh while you looked inside yourself and wondered - "how does he know?".

Just read about his passing. A sad day. I'll have to watch one of his stand-up specials tonight.

His 4th heart attack since 1978? Dang. Guess he was lucky to make it for as long as he did.

I guess the big cahuna needed a good laugh so called George.

A sad day indeed. One of comedy's greats is gone. I really liked his shtick.

Now to find "A Place for My Stuff"......

I saw him twice in the early 1990's. Funny guy, and a legend no doubt. I don't think he and I were on the same page politcally(for the most part), but he was funny. Sad loss. Hard to believe he was only 7 and half years younger than my granny. hehe Then again, she doesn't look her age either.
