C&C t-shirt?

A couple of years ago at GenCon I remember stopping by the TLG booth and chatting with some of the guys. At the time I asked about buying good qulaity t-shirts with the C&C logo on them, which I think would be great advertisement if I can wear one for this year's GenCon in a month.

I was told that the ones TLG was selling at the moment were't the best quality but that new ones would be for sale "soon". Did this ever happen?

As I said, when going to GenCon I'd love to be wearing a C&C shirt. If not, I've got some ADRP or "Order of the Stick" shirts I'll have to wear instead.

There were LGGC shirts for sale the con a few years ago. I picked up one of those shirts. It's the best TLG shirt that was on the market (the only one I remember ever seeing) at the time. I wonder if there are any more of those bad boys left.

If they do tshirts and other apparel

They should have www.scottevest.com do the production and fulllfilment. Top quality stuff there.

aah, on second thought they only do embroidered stuff...maybe a regular screen print would be better.

But the scottevest are great for cons, to keep all your junk organized.

The Trolls had a nice shirt at last year's LGGC. I don't recall seeing one this year.

Dagnabit, I didn't see it or would have purchased one. Oh well, I forgot to buy a lot of other stuff as well.

Someone really should update this. You can get black and dark color t-shirts through Cafepress, now.

TLG could make some dough with the right price and the right designs.

Agreed. I'd totally forgotten this existed. If those mouse pads and black shirts can still be purchased I see some money leaving my pocket soon. Any details?

Yeah, are those items actually still available? I'd love to buy a shirt or two. Maybe even some mugs.

Thanks for the link ... I saw this long ago but forgot it was there.

What I really want is a shirt with the Castles & Crusades logo like can be found on the rulebooks and modules.

I second that! And some ads featuring some of the designs and directing people to the cafepress website in Crusader magazine wouldn't go amiss, either! I'm gonna bug Steve about that at Troll Con.

As much as I would appreciate a selection of TLG t-shirts with neat sayings on them, my vote is still a shirt with a gigantic "Castles & Crusades" logo on it -- just like the logo on all of the books. If you make it I will come....

Got my TLG mouse pad a t-shirt today, along with an OotS t-shirt I picked up. The mouse pad looks great but both t-shirts (so I'm assuming it's a cafepress problem and not a TLG art problem) have slightly under par screen printing. Basically, it looks a little washed out and, more importantly, a bit blurry.

Both t-shirts are also of decent to good quality (the TLG one actually being Hanes which is nice though I'm not sure if that's random).

So, all in all, I'm really happy with the mouse pad but, for the money you spend, I'd like to see them increase the quality of their screen printing process (or whatever it is they use).

I haven't bought a TLG shirt yet because I'm still waiting for a C&C design I like, but I think that sometimes companies end up buying cheap shirts and don't even know it becasue they're working through third-party printing companies and may not even look at their product firsthand. I bought a Hackmaster shirt from Kenzer and was very un-impressed with its fit and thin material; simply wasn't a good quality shirt, IMO. I'd like to think that if Kenzer actually saw their own shirts they'd decide to upgrade, and this may be true of the gaming shirts you bought. (On the other end of the spectrum, I've got quite a few Order of the Stick shirts and they are really top quality!)

I'm a teacher and sometimes buy shirts from a local printer for a club we have at school, and we can get some shirts really cheap there but have to be careful that the quality isn't poor as well. But if the shirts are crummy the kids won't wear them! The printer wants to save me money but if I'm not careful I get an inexpensive product I don't like. It's all about quality control and priorities, and for many people t-shirts just aren't a high priority.

I think that gamers are interested in quality shirts the same way they are interested in quality binding on rulebooks. Hopefully more game companies will figure this out soon.

In my high school years I used to work in a screen printing shop. The TLG shirt itself was top notch, but the screen printing was the problem. The OotS shirt wasn't bad either, but same problem with the printing. So I don't think it's the shirt, but the process cafepress uses.

It's worth the money but the quality could be better.

I'd go for a baseball cap with this type design. Anyone else up for a cap?

I talked to some folks at TrollKon this weekend about a variety of t-shirt options. I'll get with Steve and suggest a few things.
