Sounds like a pirated copy to me.
As the other folks on that thread mentioned, there is a pdf condensed for sale on rpgnow, but what it sounds like is a scanned pdf of the boxed set book.

Heh, well he says he's waiting for a copy of C&C, so hopefully he's buying the PH. I've seen his name/ID around . . . maybe DF.

Well, I found out that my 1st print CK's screen was being passed off as the TLG CK screen, including stock number on file sharing networks. While I'm flattered that they think so highly of my screen as to give it the stock number, I find it humorous since that screen is publicly available already, along with the 2d Print. At least they didn't remove the OGL notice.
I did see the box set PDF's available there as well. Which tells me that the game has become popular enough that people want to steal it.

When I was considering C&C, I looked for some "quick start" rules (like those for Lejendary Adventure or Savage Worlds). I thought about buying the condensed PDF, but I ended up ordering the PHB, instead (it wasn't that much more expensive).
Still, a freebie quick-start PDF might be helpful; seems like I've heard that one is in the works.

The closest thing anyone has to a quick-start book right now is the Character Cheat sheet at my site. But that doesn't have the SIEGE engine in it, so it's not terribly useful by itself. But couple it with the Castle Keeper's Screen download and you have a quick start PDF of sorts. One PDF for players, and the other for Castle Keepers.

Well maybe with the Trolls Ok of course we could look into writing a simple tester kit.
Along the lines of basic rules, pre-made PC's and a small dungeon crawl.
It could be a fan addition and as we would be doing it you Trolls can keep working on your other things and check it out to see if its all OK with you.
Well its an idea, the posts do seem to indicate that something like this would be of interest to them.
Any thoughts.

As I mentioned before, something like a 'freebie' pdf is in progress. I'm just not sure where in the progress it is?
