Steve and Davis re distribution problem

I gather there are a few forest fires in the TLG offices at the moment, but aren't there always?

Anyway I was in my friendly not-so-local game store today and while I was looking at the C&C rack was chatted up by a store staffer. Turns out he was the buyer Anyway in the course of discussion he mentioned he was having problems getting rulebooks from his two distributors.

I got his info to pass on to Steve and/or Davis... anyone?

If I don't hear anything I'll just give them a call tomorrow.

Pass it on to me here, or in a PM. I will have Aldo give them a call. The distributors often short stock CC products for various reasons and tell retailers they are out of print or sold out or temp not available. Its not good.

Barrataria, I've had the same problem. I frequent my FLGS in Lakeland (the big town near me) and I talked th guy into carrying C&C - they hadn;t up to this point and they want to fill the gap 3.5 is leaving. Figure its a good time to strike while the iron's hot and all. I go into the stor a couple of weeks later and am suprised when there's no C&C stuff to be found. I aske the guy what's up and her tell me that he called his distributor and that they're "out of stock." I was perplexed - I hadn't, nor have I heard about anyone having, any problems ordering anything directly from TLG.

I'm wondering if they're stuff from the same distributor as your FLGS.

I have no idea, but part of the reason I posted this in GD was because Steve has previously mentioned (on the boards) that they have had problems with distributors. So, if you are a real eager beaver you could suggest the guy contact TLG directly to hash it out. Had the guy not buttonholed me to talk about C&C anyway (or walked by 5 minutes earlier when I was looking at something else) I wouldn't have known anything.
