Again, we only have a limited amount of these, so when they are gone, they are gone.)
Also bring a friend by to purchase the game and receive the free Refer a Friend thank you card, the Crown of the Immortals.
Lastly, and while not for sale yet, we will be testing the very first Adventurer Card Game Module. This paper booklet will introduce 10 or so new ways to play Adventurer, including a Mini-RPG-Scenario where the heroes battle against the deadly Orc King. Let me know if you are interested in playing

Because of the interest in the expansions and the fact that not everybody can make it to Gencon I am going to put the Gencon Editions up for sale on the website in a couple days so you can get them now and you dont have to wait until September and October to get them.
I would rather all the current players have first dibs on them.
(of course, I wont be able to mail them till after Gencon, because I wont get them until the show)
Please pass the word around to anybody who might want them before they are gone.
Kerry

Woot!
I got my Adventurer expansion sets and they are absolutely fantastic. They will bring more fun and depth to the game. Heh, some strategy too, methinks!!
Well done, KR.
Where did all the great ideas come from in the card sets, if I might ask. Were they yours and/or were some suggestions from fans and players of the game?
My nephews are going to love these expansions!!

Ditto all that!! Me and my three boys played our first game with all three decks combined last night - wow!!! Just WOW!! And now that I have more heroes, I could even include my wife and daughter if they are ever so inclined (doubtful for the wife, and daughter needs to grow up a little more).
Great stuff Kerry!! Keep it coming!

Yeah, 4 new ones, if you have Shade. That puts the total # of heroes at 4 base game + Shade + 4 new ones = 9. Pretty big game.

Is this a good game for a wife, who likes games in general, but not RPGs? She likes Settlers of Catan for example, and things like pictionary and monopoly?

Dachda,
Its a casual game like the ones you mentioned with an extremly easy learning curve. Normally by the time everybody takes a round or two everybody knows how to play, and the turns take less than a minute or so each.
Its a good entry game into RPGs or a substitute for those who are not inclined to get into games of such complexity.
My response might be a bit biased, but somebody else here might chime in as well.

Rhuv,
When the game was first made I made the Castle Deck and the Expansions at the same time, they were kinda built together. I would say about 90% of the cards from that original expansion are in the final sets you have.
The other 10% that I changed out was based upon suggestions from players. It probably would have been more but what I thought the game would benifit from and what the players thought the game would need were pretty much in sync the whole time. The trading, stealing from others players, more player strategies and choices, new way to win the game, ways to stop other players from winning, ect...
One of the things I like most about the expansions is that I have to see the deck run out of cards and need to be re-shuffled before there is a winner, this is especially true is you have about 4 Crypts in your deck.
Cheers, sir.
Kerry

Dachda,
It has an RPG flavor. So, if it is the flavor of RPGs that bother your wife, then you won't be able to get her to play more than one game. I can't get my wife to play it. She likes Scrabble and her Nintendo DS, but not my games.
It kind of reminds me of War (the classic card game) only your character card is the card that the card from the deck compares against every turn. And in the basic game, you are not comparing your card directly against your opponent's character card. So, I describe it as War on steroids to the non-gamer game players I know. There are, of course, variations as the game progresses, but essentially, if you were to describe it to a non-gamer, I would go the War on steroids route (if she has heard of War. I am assuming everyone played it as a child, of course.).

Thank you very much for the kind words, sir. I am very pleased that you like it.
Let me know how your bigger games go, the most I have seen play is 7 so far. Not rushing to use the Divine Statues or Mystical Mirrors and saving them for most strategic time definately can help you win.
