No one will touch this for some time. Though offing Prince Charles so we don't have to look at him may be close.

No need. One good strong wind, and 'Bonny Prince Charlie' will go para-sailing all the way to France on those ears of his.

Heh, some sports are just fun to do or play but not to watch. This one and tennis ~ although I caught Roger Federer beat his opponent today.
Say, how about the USA men's gymnastic team!! Very cool to win the Bronze medal.

If two out of three of their Pommel Horse team did not SUCK!!!! they would have gotten the Silver.
I mean they scored lower then the required score to qualify for the finals! They not only sucked, but choked, and blew the chances for the silver out of the building.
I guess I can forgive that one guy on his floor exercise, he did somehow slice his hand open.
Still, considering they were expected to place 7th, not third, is still pretty awesome, but there are two people who are going home knowing they cost them the silver.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

What about the USA's women's gymnastics last night. They were doing soooo good until the missed mounting/fall then the fall on the floor exercise.
China had issues but in all honesty their 3 floor routines were very close to perfect!

Just a question, how are all you other Americans getting all these events? I thought NBC is the only way to get the Olympics in the States, and they seem to only focus on the American teams and on events we are likely to win (swimming etc). I feel like I'm missing out on 90% of the Olympics because of NBC!

USA Network has Olympics coverage during the mornings and I think MSNBC has it throughout the day, with nighttime coverage reserved for NBC. If you watch in the mornings, you will see a lot more coverage of games not involving the USA. The prime time coverage is pretty much just coverage of events in which the USA is competing.

Maybe something like a Beatles/Beatles family reunion concert . .
Ringo and Zak, Julian Lennon, Paul & one of his kids and I think George Harrison's son plays guitar.
No way we can. 1.3 billion tax payers in one of the fastest growing economies in the world versus less than 70 million in a declining market... As I understand it, the mindset was "Let's show these barbarians what it means to be civilised."

To be fair, I crunched the numbers and what I found is that, even if they hadn't made those mistakes, America still would not have taken gold (they would have been a fraction of a point shy). It all came down to the high complexity of the Chinese routines... they earned crazy points on some of them.

I suspected that might be the case. Thanks for crunching the numbers. I have been wondering why that hasn't come up in the sports reporting since the team finals.

I've actually been getting into the Womans Volleyball, and not just because of the bikini's (even though that certainly helps). I have been very impressed with the awesome teamwork of the unbeaten US pair (blanking on their names). Those two really "read" each other exceptionally well, which certainly explains why they have not lost in almost a year.

That wasn't Walsh/May-Treanor, that was the other US team, whom I didn't think would win the Gold anyways.
Walsh and M-T have an excellent chance to repeat the Gold.

Yeah, she can be described that way. She is awesome on the net though! Well, most of the time. If they want the Gold again they better be in perfect form Tuesday. Or at least in better form then whoever can take the Gold from them.
As for Bikini looks, I definitely prefer her partner. Then again if you knew what my wife looked like, you would know that. Short, dark hair, dark eyes, good legs and back side. Except my wife is much better endowed up front. Even back when she was a skinny Army soldier, rather than a disabled couch potato.
Anyways, as for athletic skill, I can definitely see why they have gone unbeaten for so long. They work very well together, and their strengths complement/offset their weaknesses. Definitely a tough team to beat.

They are good. As for looks though I prefer women with more 'substance'. If you know what I mean. Voluptousness is so underrated in today's society.

Yep, I like greater curves. The straighter their shape, the less interested I am. Especially the hips. I want hips that I can rest my hands on. Plus I love pillows.

Can those Jamaican girls run, or what?
Shawn and Nastya took the Silver and Bronze thanks to the Romanian girl coming out of no where and doing what looked to be a perfect routine.
I'll tell you, the way Shawn keeps a smile on her face is unnerving me. Is she really just that easy going and cheery? Or is she an automaton with a painted on face?
