Rain!

Post by DangerDwarf »

Rain!

Glorious, life-giving, rain!!!!

We are now in day two of a nice, steady rain. Just when I thought we were going to reach the point of trees beginning to spontaneously combust due to the heat and dryness.

Mayhaps my yard will be green again.

Rain!

Mwuahahahahahah!

Its good!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

We could use some of that stuff here too! After the deluge this spring, things have been rather dry. Maybe this weekend!

We have been getting rain nearly every day for weeks. I have two new "pits" growing in my front yard from it. Had another start last week up by my mail box, but the county filled it in because it might eat the road.

So we are having a very good green season.

New Mexico is very green as well, we've been getting lots of rain. All kinds of stuff blooming out here, and loads of insects.

Are you insane? You can have all our rain! We here at Toronto have gotten rain at some level (sometimes hurricane force rains) for about two weeks straight now. Today's the first day of clear skies and sun!

We definitely need rain here. I've only been watering my garden and some newly planted shrubs and trees. I'm going to have to leave the grass alone.

I love the fact you padded your post count to make everyone aware that it was raining in Little Rock. Maybe you could post what you had for breakfast tomorrow for us? Just make sure it's healthy. Like some oatmeal maybe...

It's raining here, too. Has been all day, actually. Probably will all day tomorrow as well. Wind, too. And flooding. I guess that what happens when you're in the middle of a tropical storm.
EDIT: It's a tropical storm, not a hurricane.

Hey John, I was just up there this weekend. Gorgeous! I have to come back in winter some time to remind myself why I left.

On the Texas side of things, it's been raining for a few days here in San Antonio. A severe thunderstorm came through at 3am this morning and snapped the poor potted palm tree I have on my balcony. Poor lil fella.

Had to cancel my game last night because the lightning was so bad it kept knocking out my ISP (averaged 5 times in one hour), then there were the worries of the lighting frying our computers and TV's. So eventually we just shut everything off for about two hours until the storms passed.

I know it was over the internet, but there is little better then playing a good RP session with only some candles for light. makes for a good one-off or moody session that players will usually remember.

Definitely. I did that for my Ravenloft campaign. Very effective, which surprised me. I didn't think it would be.

Still hasn't rained (5 days or so from my last post) and things are drying up. Leaves turning yellow, lawn turning to straw, ground cracked and dried. Bad news unless I want to spend mucho dollars watering.

And no rain in the forecast!
[What was it yesterday - 5 inches an hour in central Florida.]
