Pizza Party at Next GenCon

Post by Piperdog »

When Steve brought that up at Con, I thought it was a cool idea! I fully intend to be there. I was hoping to meet some of the guys from the forum there this year, but didn't manage it in all the loud, overstimulating maddness that is GenCon.

Hey Omote, according to Steve, I just missed you on a couple of occasions. I was hoping to find out where you guys were gaming, and at least hang out a bit. Next year then!

I think the Pizza Party thing for board members is a cool idea. Only if we can have beer though.....

Its ironic that, when you see him more than once he's Re-mote instead of Omote.

The pizza party thing is a great idea. We had several people come to the booth this year looking for games and this would be a great way to bring them all together (and force them to drink beer).

The Beeries

We are having an award show hosted by Goodman and Troll Lord called the Beeries.

Throw in some pizzas, some beers and you get a good get together where everyone can hang out, blather and complain about the CKG not being released.

Pip, sorry I missed ya. Pete, you know I will always show up, and then leave thus becoming Gomote.

As for the party next year, beeries sounds good. So who wants to throw a good ole-fashioned Troll Lord room party? Pizza, booze and Trolls ALWAYS go good together.

The pizza party idea sounds like a neat idea. And since next year will be my first GenCon, I wouldn't mind being able to participate, if that's okay.

Heck Lord Dynel you're going to HAVE to be there. Didn't you know you were bringing the pizza? OK, so that'l' be 25 large pizzas. As for toppings, why don't you just get a variety. Mix it up.

Thx bud.

Sounds good to me...I'll get my "game night special."

Anchovies, Pineapple, and Jalapeno. It tastes better than it sounds.

My yummy has been saying that she feels bad for not being able to go to GenCon these last few years, knowing how much I have wanted to, and been unable, due to many reasons... so, she says we're going to go to GenCon next year, one way or the other. Guess I'd better start saving up after the wedding. I have a feeling it's going to be expensive, especially if I walk into the Auction...

I hear you, serleran, about saving. Next year will be my first. I've wanted to go for about two decades, and I finally said enough was enough. I had decided I would probably not get to GenCon until 2010, but after my wife told me it would be possible, financially, to go next year, I'm already getting excited about it. I need to put it out of my head, or else it'll be along year.

Yes it is. But if you add back bacon and garlic, I'm so there. Ahh, and many cold pitchers of beer . . .

Only very briefly when you were around the TLG booth. I made the comment to you about the new Novel, and you pointed towards your booth. But that was the extent of it. There is always next year and/or LGGC.

Does it have to be 'American Beer'?

Just kidding... though I may be tempted to bring down a bottle of something *other* than beer. After hearing about this year's happenings, I've started looking really hard at the possibility of the trip next year. I've never been and I've always wanted to make the trip at least once. Hopefully it will be in 2009!

The last time you went was the "Year of Rick James", wasn't it?

Same here. Alas, next year is also out of the picture for me....

You cats need to deploy to Gen Con 09 postehaste. Redistribute your collective carcii to the grand hall and for the pizza party thereafter or be sad pandas.

If Talanian's narrow guinness-swilling ass can make it then SO CAN YOU! begin.

Indeed I do. Good times.

I also remember:

- Todd nearly throwing a drunk guy through a large window because he got up in our faces

- Homeless guy with a sign that said "Beer money"

- Louis Farrakhan and his motorcade

- Alex Gygax changing his nametag to say "I'm Alex Gygax, B*&^h!"

- Cracking open the newly-printed Yggsburgh and running the first game out of it in the TLG booth.

Speaking of beer...

Did anyone else try the "Underdark Stout" that the Ram was selling? It was alright and it worked the way it was supposed to .
