C&CS: A Call to Arms!
C&CS: A Call to Arms!
As Society Seneschal, I beseech thee, O Crusaders, to lay low the wicked and raise an alarm -- please include some mention of the Society in your signatures, if you would, across whatever fora you frequent, so we can get the Society known. We are building, but we need members... active members.
We are hoping to start a weekly live chat on our boards. Just have to get a time that would be workable.

Geez, I'm not sure if I'm still a part of the Crusades or not. I signed up ages ago, but haven't heard anything - my bad, probably.

Strange as it my seem, yes! I think Casey started out with it some time ago and it changed hands. I seem to recall it getting restarted a while back, but since I was busy with other things at the time, I more or less forgot about it. D'oh!

If you have not "heard" anything, then there are a few reasons (because I have been sending out emails to everyone on the list.)
1) your email address returned as undeliverable, so you were removed from the list
2) your email address was never included in the list (when I took over there were 0 outstanding join requests)
3) you asked to be removed (some did)
Therefore, if you do wish to be part of the Society, please send an email to ccsociety@gmail.com along with your Real Name, Board Name, Society Name (how you wanted to be listed on the Society Roster), #of players in your group, and general geographic region.
I am doing my best to reply to requests to join, but I do not always reply immediately.
And, for the record, the role of Society Seneschal has changed hands twice -- from Fiffergrund to Brian Miller to me.
As to the other question: there are the things on either of the old Society web pages (Most Recent TLG Page and Older TLG Page.) I am not an artist, so I cannot make any banner or logo. If you can, then that would be most excellent.
We're also looking for someone to help in a redesign of the Society website.

I added a C&C society signature, but couldn't figure out how to make a weblink to the society webpage as you did Serleran. How does one do that?

I'm ready for a rockin' chat session.
Tomorrow night perhaps?
Who's up for a chat party??

I'll post this on the C&CS forums too, but here are some other ways of promoting the group (nothing fancy, but might help):
- start a Facebook group
- start some kind of picture sharing group (e.g., via Flickr)
Just some thoughts...
