Sons of Anarchy

Post by DangerDwarf »

Anyone else check out the 1st episode on FX tonight?

I'm not much of a TV watcher but this looks like it may end up being a fairly entertaining series.

Although I must admit some disappointment in seeing Drea de Matteo as a strung out junkie. I was wanting some eye candy.
Anyways, looking forward to checking it out the 2nd episode.

I cought pieces of it (in between baby v2 crying....) & what I saw looked good.

I agree with you about the eye candy though!

Yeah, my wife and I thought it was a pretty good start. She likened it to the Sopranos on motorcycles.

Caught the 2nd episode on Wednesday. Still good stuff.

3rd one and the vigilante justice looks like it'll be right up my alley.

Between the endless strutting of its main character and predictable plot development I couldn't bring myself to watch the 2nd or 3rd show.

Really do we need to see the 2008 Ponyboy strut his stuff across the screen in overdramatic coolness every single frame? We get it, he is cool.

I enjoyed shows like The Sopranos and liked to see the bad guys side of things for a while. As with anything these days though once something does well they do it to death.

Now we have badguy bikers..sigh. Next month it will be Badguy drug lords and the month after that Badguy gocart dealers. Geez.

It's Hamlet, people. It doesn't get any better than Shakespeare!

I'd sooner watch a show about badguy go-kart dealers than yet another reality show.

But I'm holding out hope that I eventually get to see a series about badguy squaredance callers.

That would be friggin' badass.

They already did that. It was called "The Wire" and it was beyond awesome.

Th Wire is an absolutely incredible show. It deals with more than just drug lords though it deals with the entire drug culture. From the people who deal to the cops who chase them, the impact on the city and people forced to live in the shadow of these events. I'm a huge Wire fan and can't say enough good stuff about the show. All five seasons can be found on DVD. Check it out.
