Ok,

I started a Group Page for the Castles & Crusades Society on Facebook. So, come on and get off your lazy butts, join Facebook and then come join the group. BTW, Serleran or any of the other senior members of the Society, PM me or whatever and I (think) I can make you officer's (in fact, I want someone else to take over the page, I suck at leading ).

So, come on.

I'll do what I can -- I'm telling you, though, that Facebook hates me.

I had something to say here, but I thought it best to not.

Thank you, all forum-goers.

I understand my "position" here. I'll be moving along.

Serl, I had intended it to be a joke, That's why I included smiley. I apologize if you were offended by it. I are a valued sorce of C&C knowledge and your insights are always interesting. Again, I apologize.

Hmm, odd and nobody else is commenting (or they haven't seen this thread).

Did something weird happen here? Hopefully just some misunderstanding that will get sorted out.

serleran's account seems to be gone.

He had one of his semi annual pouting fits. It'll blow over or it wont.

Yeah, I have seen Serl say much worse things about himself, I am surprised if he took Rigon seriously.

Sadly I think he did for some reason...

Ergh.... I've said it before and I'll say it again... the indirectness and facelessness of boards can be problematic -- things meant one way are taken another and off we go....

I am hoping it's merely a function of the crap and pain he's going through with his teeth that's got him in down...

I did inquire and try to talk him into returning, but he didn't seem inclined to discuss the matter presently, so I guess we'll just have to let him take a break and hope he does return. He said he would still be on the Society boards.

Yeah, hopefully it is the pain, or pain meds, that made him react so strongly.

Serl definitely knows messageboards well enough to know what smileys mean and how to take things with several grains of salt, etc...

I feel abysmal. I had meant the comment in friendly jest.

I checked out the page, and meant to come back and register, but forgot until I saw this thread again.

I think you'll get more hits if you add a link in this thread.

Just for the record, the reason I haven't yet is I don't have a facebook account.

That's for a variety of reasons - one more thing to check, I'm a professor at a college and have had colleagues warn that students use "but I left a note on facebook why I wouldn't be there," and so I hadn't done so.

For this I may, but just as simple as I can -- heh, the Society site will take a bit of time to maintain!

I signed up but I think I'm missing the point of the whole facebook thing. What is it for other than looking at a picture...

For this - nothing more really than putting faces with names. For other things, it's for networking - finding and restablishing relationships by connecting through a series of friends.

Had resisted it, but then I found two friends from college I've long lost how to get hold of within an hour so...

Yeah, it did immediately list some folks I might know and one of them was a friend from highschool. That was pretty cool.

Ah well, I threw a few pics on there. Even allowed my ever elusive image to be captured digitally today for it.
