Just saw the commercial & website for Quarantine. Its another Zombie movie opening Oct 10.

Looks decent.

A slight twist. Done in "found news caster tape" style- kinda like Cloverfield or Blair Witch & Zombie diaries. People trapped in an apartment building. Thus "quarantined". I think its "voodoo" zombies though.

Interesting. I saw Cloverfield in the theatres and the jury's still out in my mind on whether I like that style of movie or not. I didn't like Blair Witch, but I don't think it was because of the filming style...it was a little too cheesy to me. Probably need to watch Cloverfield again before I can make a good assessment.

Thanks for the find!

I love this style of movie. The documentary feel actually adds to the horror that has sadly been sucked out of the horror genre. I may have to check this one out.

The style is a toss up for me. Hated Blair Witch, the only scary thing that happened during that movie was watching a friend of mine get motion sickness and yacking on the row of seats in front of us. Cloverfield, ehhh, sort of ok. The Romero film done shaky cam style was hit and miss. But I will prolly see Quarantine. Zombies are cool. .

((I apologize for the thread necromancy here, but I must have missed this one the first time))

I haven't had a chance to see Quarantine yet, but it is a remake of a Spanish movie called [REC] (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1038988/) which is one of my favorite Zombie Movies.

Ill reserve judgment on the re-make until I have a chance to see it for myself, but it has to be pretty damned good to beat [REC]
