Hey Steve

I sent a couple of emails about my CZ pre-order (about a month and a week ago) and left a call on the Troll answering machine...

Just to recap, I ordered 2 CZ's and got 1 of them.

Any news?

I'd call again, but I'm working like a mutha right now and am not getting home by 5 on most nights...

Through me a life-line here, even if its "We're looking into it..."

Kevin

Yep, it was one of the early pre-orders. They were both paid for on the same order on 6/2.

I recieved one of the boxes on 8/26, but I wasn't sure if the Trolls were mailing the other boxed set seperately or if there was a goof (Most of my orders have come with a shipping slip, but this one didn't).

I'm not minding the wait overmuch, since I got one of the sets, I just want make sure Steve's aware (I know about the power being out in Troll-ville).

I appreciate the help BD

Peace

Morty

Good news, I never had a doubt that it'd be taken care of.

Hmm, that's weird about the emails...I'll check to make sure he's not being spam blocked or sumptin.

Thanks for all the leg work GT and BD.
Peace

I am much relieved now that I'm aware that Steve's aware of the problem.
Thanks again.

well, in the last 20 odd days, I have sent 3 emails to steve on the same subject (crusader #10 never getting delivered). nary a word. Also mentioned that the email IN the crusader (thecrusader@trolllord.com) is also not working.

I'm not able to call during the day. email IS the only means on contacting them, AND they are not shy to advertise their email addresses (indicating to me at least that email as a means to communicate IS an option)..

what's a person to do???

Cheers,

J.

Hmmm, I think Steve should hire a kid from high school to help out with emails and phone calls.

My daughter is a senior and they have any early release program for the students. They go to class from 7-11 AM and then go to work after school.

Great opportunity for kids and the Trolls.

Just sayin'!

They could add a Troll Sales email account, so all customer issues would be routed into one email, separate from Steve's own email and all the non-sales related email. something like TrollSales at trolllord.com. Then Mark who works on shipping could respond to these issues, rather than Steve.

Wouldn't make any difference. The provider Steve uses through the site is wonky. It bounces AOL email addresses and a couple of other providers.

If someone needs to get something to Steve, cc me a copy and I'll prod at him.

thanks for your help Gideon, but that really isn't a viable alternative.

1) people who don't visit the boards have no idea this is how to contact troll lord instead of the published email addresses

2) I don't know your email, and its a bother having to hunt all over the place looking for it, especially when not at a main computer

3) if an ISP is not providing good service "wonky" in the internet age is NOT good service, dump them for someone who can handle email.

Cheers,

J.

The email problem persists. Many of the emails I send out bounce. The problem, I suspect but cannot verify, is that I use this account (and have for 9 years) to send out press releases. It naturally gets scooped up by those auto bot spam programs and is often listed on other servers or IPs or whatever they are as a source of spam. I would say about 1 in 10 emails I send out bounce back to me, and that's the ones I catch. Lord knows how many slip by.

I can trash my email account and start another but then I have to inform 10 years of retailer/distributor and manufacturers of the change. Doable, but time consuming (doing all the follow ups). Further, opening more email accounts only increases the work load I have and makes yet more email accounts I forget to check or pass over for a week or so and miss business. And I absolutely detest yahoo and gmail accounts as they are buried in advertisements, pop ups and all that other crap that so distracts my primitive brain.

I haven't found a good solution to any of this to be honest with you but, I'm looking at a program that tracks my email so that I at least know what is happening to them.

We are aware of this problem and Brian, Jason and McBain and I are tossing around various solutions.

Steve

Rhu: Hiring someone to manage the phone and email would be a godsend!!!! A shipping clerk is in order as well.

Well, thanks for the offer. Before I bombard anyone with more emails, I'm going to assume there may be a bit of an email backlog. Where would Steve be at in terms of going through these? I sent something back on the 16th concerning missing Crusader mags and a couple of items I wanted to order. If well past this date, I'll happily re-email and 'cc' as need be. If Steve did respond, I unfortunately didn't receive it but I've never had a problem receiving emails before which is why I ask.

I'd call if I were able to but my availability is such that email becomes the best choice. I suppose I could call from my Cell during my workday but I shudder at the long distance charges.

Haven't the foggiest. I don't live in Little Rock where Steve's at, so its a bit difficult to look over his shoulder and see the state of his inbox.

My emails don't bounce, is all im getting at. I can relay quickly enough.

I just wanted to add that my boxed set arrived in the mail today.
Thanks for the help getting it to me guys.

Just a reminder to folks that if the Trolls make a goof on a purchase, they always make it right eventually.

Peace

Got my CZ today also. My wife's response to the maniacal cackle from the bedroom..."I want to Liiiive!"

I got a sour look in response to maniacl laughter...
