Enough with the drama!

Post by Coleston the Cavalier »

Okay. I understand that all of the drama at TLG lately has been beyond their control: LA license removed, a hurricane... and then today's news.

Goodness. C&C is what I turn to in order to forget all the drama of my own life!

Let's all do our best to support the fellows behind the soap opera that is a our chosen gaming system!

I concur. I will support and play C&C and game onward no matter what happens. Jeff T. has proven himself classy beyond belief (not to mention one of the more talented RPG artists), and here's hoping to see whatever future products come from both TLG/C&C and from Jeff (and mayhaps some cross between the two!)

WHat is the "today's news" you speak of? I haven't been keeping up.

That and the naked pictures posted of Yorgach the Ravager with his standard bearer have left me reeling.

I stand behind TLG and C&C no matter what. The rest go on and off my radar by association with the above.

You know what they say about drama...

Save it for your mommy.

I say:

Coleston is a troublemaker.

Save your drachmas, not your drama for your mummy.

Let's see the pics of Yorgach.

What does "Trollzah" mean?

Who here enjoys acupuncture?

I dunno Rhu, its life altering in a disturbing way. I always assumed he got the moniker "the Ravager" for other reasons.

Well, it's those girlies working me over constantly. I hope you'll be calling me a "chieftain" someday.

I must have missed something. I haven't seen any drama directed to the trolls. Quite the opposite in fact.

Thank goodness for my cat. She stands guard when I feed the big bastard. He was spitting water and rocks at me last time. SOB, I had no idea that goldfish had teeth like Northern Pike!

Hey Rhu! A word of friendly advice. Drop the mention of squaws unless you wish to offend someone of Native American origin. And no I'm not. I was told by several Native Americans that it is a derogatory term that equates to a womans privates.

Yes, you are very right. My bad.

Many apologies.

I've heard that that's a myth.

I'll say this... The article mentions that the rumor garnered mainstream attention via the Oprah show.

Oprah.

Well I can't say it would offend any Native American's but I just saw one laugh and roll his eyes and threaten to scalp me .

Then he gave me a 5 minute lecture about how scalping started and told me to get out of my house and off his land.....
He also called me White-Eye and that my indian name would be Sitting Lard.
How do I get myself into these things?

like many words stolen from other languages, the word "squaw" has come to mean something it did not originally. it started as an algonquian word, meaning "woman, wife" with derivations that referred to such titles as queen, even. however, by the latter part of the 17th and, especially, the 18th centuries, english speakers had coined it to mean something more colloquial and offensive. it is interesting, though, the many ways the word is used, such as squaw bread, squaw mountain, and so forth.

Heh, nice to know that the ways of knowledge and information have once again overridden political correctness.
