CKG!

Post by GameOgre »

I just noticed that there was no CKG post on the front page and as I am one of the many many fans waiting while moaning and wailing into the night for the ability to throw more money at the trolls, I thought I would start another post saying....

When Oh' Troll Lords will the CKG be released?

Not that I am complaining mind you, but I did lock myself in this basement with nothing but Water and Rice Crispy treats until its release.

According to Crusader #12, TLG is shooting for a December 2008 release for the CKG.

Steve's article/preview of the CKG (no.. not preview of material, but of the overall book) is good.

And I think the CKG will be the biggest beneficiary of everything else going on...

PS - Steve's description of a three-tiered CKG design - one tier devoted to gamer's most interested in "roll-playing," one towards "rules-lite," and a third tier of alternate rules expansions for "crunchier" players sounds fantastic to me.

I also find his frustrations with Davis continually enlarging the amount of MSS crossing his desk and the ever-expanding outline quite funny - you can almost see the beads of worry sweat on Steve's brow as he calculates the rising cost of the tome

Back during the Santa Tote Bag sale of 12/05 I "pre-ordered" the CKG.

It's been a long wait, but if it's released in 12/08 or 12/09, I don't care. As long as it is done right!
