Posted: Sun Oct 12, 2008 5:45 am
by seskis281
Hi All -
Everyone who has completed current registration with the C&C Society and is on the Rolls should have received 3 Email tests - 2 from "
membership@cncsociety.org" and 1 from "
societysquire@cncsociety.org"
If you did not, please let me know!
** NOTE - If you are registered on the Boards for the Society but have not sent or resent your registration via the form on the cncsociety.org site, you won't receive email till you've completed the full registration and have joined the Rolls. I will likely send an email to the people who have signed up for boards but not the Society this time.
** NOTE - If you are one of the following, you need to contact John "Sir Seskis" Wright:
Charles Stevens (Atlantean Wizard) - Your email is incorrect and is bouncing back.
Markos Aurelios (??) (Markos the Wise) - Need real name and email is incorrect.
Sincerely,

I've received all the e-mails. They were in the spambox, so it took a bit of searching to find them.

Got mine, they were all in the SPam folder too. They shouldn't have been, my wife swears she didn't ever mark them as Spam before, and the Domesday notifications come to my normal folder.

These are from a new email account so all may have to mark them as not spam - these are not from the same one that Serl has sent.

How does one go about marking them as not spam?
BTW, my wife has our settings to where all bulk sent e-mail is sent to SPAM. If I add those e-mail address' to my address book that should allow me to receive them, right?

Depending on your setup, yes... that could work.

OK, I added them to my address book, so hopefully that will fix any future issues.

Usually so, most email managers have ways to designate "keep as spam" or not, often just by adding them like that so that they're recognized.
So hopefully yes.

I think I have done this before to fix this problem, just been so long I don't remember.

Oops... hee hee... actually you didn't get any this test regardless of what your settings are because I forgot to add you - the Trolls never had to send the new forms and some have, some haven't (likewise some have, some haven't signed up on the Forum boards...)... so I was going through and remembered to do Steve's but forgot your's
(hey, it was like two in the morning and I was pretty bleary.... )
Added now Peter. As for where it goes, perhaps add
societysquire@cncsociety.org to your address book and it will keep it out of spam.
PS - I never have had contact info for Davis, Mac or Mark... (ok so Mark may still not have email if I read the Angry Gamer column...., and Mac's hiding behind a Wall of Force somewhere....) - but I'm sure the Troll Lord can pass that along.

Well, Davis never answers his emails, I think Mac's can be found through his profile on here, and I don't believe Mark has an email.

does this mean the society has changed hands and is now under new management? if so, it should be announced, i think.

The Society is still under the same management. Seskis is taking care of the website and e-mail while other officers are taking care of projects of their own.

Not at all...
Serleran is the Seneschal, and I am just collating new email lists with the new site shell... one of the things made clear is that the old lists under the old account were really jumbled, and all the new info is being collected on the new site.
The new "
seneschal@cncsociety.org" email goes straight to Serl at his account, and he's the main man to make all proclamations for us!
We do have more people now working and contributing - Eric Piper and Chris Dawson are doing most of the work on the Domesday Book beginning with issue #3 in terms of layout and editing, so I merely had time (at last) to take all the various lists sent on to me by Serl plus the new registrations online and make collected, accurate email directories.
Thus, when Serl has proclamations, he will send them on and I will post and, we hope, be able to use email once again to alert members to news, contests and other stuff.

I just sent my app via the form yesterday (I had applied previously during what I guess was a transition period, and I guess I got lost in the jumble), so I hope to see mine in the next week.

I'm beginning to think it should be.
