Finally... The Pain Ends!

Post by serleran »

Well, after much time, pain, anger, and more pain... my wisdom teeth are going to finally be extracted on Friday, at 9:40 AM. I am very glad my insurance, which took way too long to kick in, will be covering 80% of the expense, saving me nearly $1200. This means I'll be enjoying the fun the pain medication and spitting blood for a while, but the pain will, should anyway, end soon. Yay!

I've had to deal with it for almost two years. The insurance did not want to come through, and then, like a week before I got married, they finally approved it.

Glad to hear you're finally getting you wisdom teeth taken care of. My wife had the process done, and it is true - she felt like a completely new person after the procedure. Best of luck, sir!

-1 Wis penalty after extraction. Good luck with the procedures, Robert
I've still got my wisdom teeth, for the nonce, but I wouldn't mind having them out myself, too. They're not impacted, though, and are fully-erupted, so, for the nonce, I use them

Whew! Hope everything goes well!

I guess I'm lucky. I have two that haven't erupted and the dentist states that they should never be a problem. The other two never developed!

Take 'er easy and enjoy the meds!!

I'm glad for you serleran.

Is anyone else getting a kick out of the ads at the bottom of this thread?

Right now I see: "Springville wisdom teeth," "Tooth Pain," "Ask a Dentist Online Now," and "Salt Lake Wisdom Teeth" all brought to us by Google.

Have fun with that. I still remember getting home after having mine pulled and feeling really nauseous until I finally threw up all the blood I swallowed during the procedure. Good times! Actually, an all-pudding diet for 4 days wasn't that bad.

Teasing aside, I do hope things go well for you.

I have fond memories overall of getting my wisdom teeth out.

On the way home, my mother stopped at the mall at, as a treat for ruining my favorite tee-shirt with blood, purchased for me the World of Greyhawk box set!
