Hmm, I'm thinking a Jimi Hendrix weekend tribute. Time to crank up my pre-amp and amp and see what my 25+ year old JBLs can put out.

Turn up the bass on the powerhouse rock song "Fire" - "MOve over rover, let Jimi take over, yeah . . you know what I'm talkin' about . . !"

One of my favorite songs to play on electric bass.

God bless Jimi, Noel and Mitch.

Are you Experienced?

The Wind Cries Mary is another really good one!

Heck, he's got alot of them! Rock On, Guys!

His work on "Fire" is some of the best drumming I've ever heard. RIP.

Twas sad news. As far as well known 1960's drummers go, he was one of the standouts along with Jack Bruce, etc. Hope it doesn't end up being drugs like it was with John Entwistle a few years back. My father-in-law was in the same hotel when Entwistle died. Either way, dead is dead. And, being a drummer myself, I certainly feel the loss.

Oops, Jack Bruce played electric bass guitar in Cream. Are you perhaps thinking of their great drummer Ginger Baker?
