Met Bruce Cambell

Post by Valerian »

Bruce cambell was in New Haven Ct. last night previewing his new "B" movie "Call me Bruce " . It was a fun time and he came in in for a Q + A sessiion after . He's funny as hell in person as well as on screen.

Cool! Yeah Bruce Campbell is a cool as hell, down to earth guy. He knows how to treat the fans. I'm looking forward to seeing My Name is Bruce very soon.

...which was announced that My Name is Bruce comes out in February on DVD for those who can't go to one of the screenings.

BTW, Val, did BC mention anything about Bruce 2? Word on the internets is that already they are dropping hints that the sequel is underway and in the writing process.

Apparently and sadly, Bruce Campbell will not be reprising Elvis. Ron Pearlman will be taking over, with Paul Giamatti as Colonel Tom Parker.

Fairblade's right , Bruce had a disagreement on the new script.

and he's pretty awesome in Burn Notice as well. A fun spy show set in Miami that was running this summer on TNT (or was it TBS?).

The only thing that disappointed me about Bubba Ho-Tep was there there were SO many appropriate places for Bruce to quip, "Hail to the King, Baby.". I wish they'd thrown one in as an homage to Ash. I mean, C'mon, It's the KING!

An unrelated disappointment is that I loaned that DVD to a coworker, who was subsequently fired before she returned it. Sad times.

Very cool on meeting him though, Val!

It wasn't just bad, it was horrid. I'd rather watch the 1st D&D movie while having a root canal.

Whatcha talkin' about Willis? The first D&D movie was great. Speaking of great, you guys ought to see the monstrosity I just left in the toilet. Damn near didn't go down thanks to those 'hippie friendly' low flush toilets. Thought I was gonna have to break that sucker up with a coat hanger.

I'm a big fan of Bruce Campbell... and I also thought Bubba Ho-Tep was great. However, I have to admit that it was certainly 'different' as far as movies go and definitely not for everyone. Pacing for it could have been better though.

Watching it on DVD while listening to commentary by 'Elvis' is also pretty assuming. I'm disappointed he isn't doing the prequel but what can you do eh?
