Will Lejendary Pantheons be released

Post by Drokare »

Sorry if this was answered already, but does anyone know if they TLG will finish releasing the Gygaxian Fantasy series?

They have been so instrumental to the improving of my games... I can not imagine what they would be like without these.

Thanks

No, they won't. Not as an LA related product. I know they have James Ward, the same guy who was primary writer on the 1E Legends and Lore, will be doing a new book for C&C.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
Sounds obvious to me! -Gm Michael

James Ward's new book will be called Of Gods and Monsters. Check it out here: http://www.trolllord.com/cnc/8017.html

It looks like it will be pretty darn useful.

Sadly, TLG will not continue to publish Gary's material. But we are, as noted, putting out some smashing products, including Ward's Of Gods & Monsters!

I just finished the Egyptian Pantheon. For those of you that are interested, I have posted the outline of what we are doing. Those Egyptian deities seemed to take a lot more time than the others have so far. Steve asked that I make sure there are a lot of role playing opportunities in this book so I've been cooking up reasons for the gods to grant favors to their worshipers. I've also included nine new spells in every pantheon that worshipers can use, but no others. Peter and others are working up the images for all of these gods and when one of the pantheons is done we will put in in Crusader.

Happy holidays all!

I can't wait to see this Jim. We've got some Egyptian themed sets coming out in the spring that this will be perfect for in our campaign.

Originally, I was to finish this book, as per Gary's request to Steve -- unfortunately, and this I will regret for as long as I am able to remember, I was not able to get it finished before the license reverted, or whatever happened. Had I been able to write better, and faster, it may have seen print... and that is something I wish, beyond all other things, would have happened. The book, the manuscript, is just simply amazing in my view.
