Holy Cr*p I finished law school today!!

Post by dachda »

Yup, this 44 year old, just finished law school. Took the last final exam today and that's all she wrote! Now if I just pass the bar exam, oh yeah and find a job I'll be all set.

Only bummer is my planned mega-C&C session tomorrow for celebration may be canceled due to yet another snow storm here in Portland. My law school shut down three times this week due to snow and ice! Almost delayed taking my last exam. Jeesh, where's all that nice rain, the Pacific NW is supposed to have?

New contest: Guess how many times in the next year Dachda gets to hear the Shakespeare "First we kill all the lawyers" quote.
Congrats and best wishes for the future!

Nice. I will need a lawyer in the future so I guess I need to be nice to you.

PS- It's not because I plan on stealing the entire Fat Dragon Games booth contents at Gen Con 09. No, really.

Congrats. Have fun over the next couple months studying for the February bar. Ah, such good times. I distinctly remember swearing I would retire or kill myself before taking another bar exam (after getting licensed in 2 states). Life is too short. At least it gets better after the first exam. Once you are taking a second state's exam, you will presumably be too busy working to prepare properly, so the studying won't be as painful. On the other hand, the exam itself is excruciating. Time slows to a miserable crawl and it feels like it will never end.

Thanks for all the congratulations. I must admit I wasn't too impressed with myself when I graduated high school and college; if you are smart it's easy enough to keep ahead of the curve without studying too hard. but this is different. Being just one of a school where everyone is smart as a whip, makes ya work you everloving ass off! I'm feeling some pride getting thru this one.
Though I'm sure you guys will make enough lawyer jokes to keep my head from getting too big!

Ditto to the above congrats!
...now as part of your Final-Final exam, please compare and contrast the 3.0 OGL, the 3.5 OGL, the old 4E GSL and the new one.

Argue for and against each topic.

You have 20 minutes.

Good Luck!
Mike

Now you are are among the greatest of the great. At least that's how my brother-in-law the lawyer thinks of himself.

I am sure you will make a great lawyer. Best of luck on the bar.
