I just received the core books with Yggsburgh for my birthday last Sunday and am loving it. I think I've just about got the rules down, and am ready to build a campaign using the Castle Zagyg setting.
So where do I begin? The book is absolutely a labyrinth of ideas, culture and adventure hooks.
How did you start your adventure in this setting? Should my characters start in the main town itself, in a thorp, or at the Outs Inn? If you started in a village, what did you do about equipping your characters with initial combat equippment since most of the smaller towns are not equipped with weapon/armor-making blacksmiths?
Some of the swords at the blacksmith in Yggsburgh are insanely expensive, so what would be a creative/realistc way start your characters with equipment?
What are some plots you have developed in your games surrounding the Zagyg setting?

Check out the archived Castle Zagyg subforum, there is a ton of stuff there to read up on.

Yep. Copy it too, last I heard the forum was going to be deleted, eventually.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
