What did Santa leave for you?

Post by Lord Dynel »

I thought it might be nice for us all to share what was left under the tree (or left for you in other Winter Holidays).

Santa left for me:

Star Wars Saga Edition Scum and Villainy

GURPS for Dummies (I love these books for some reason...I got both of the 3.5 Dummies books )

GURPS Covert Ops

Heroic Worlds (an encyclopedia of rpgs)

The Random Esoteric Creature Generator

StarSIEGE Box Set

A Marvel Superhero Calendar

Annual pass to the Florida Aquarium

Some cash

And a stand-alone freezer

I was mighty impressed with the gaming stash I received!

Hope you all are getting good swag!
EDIT: Oops, I didn't count the present I got for myself - the fourth day TLG sale - the Haunted Highlands pack.
LD's C&C creations - CL Checker, a witch class, the half-ogre, skills, and 0-level rules

For me:

West Wing Season 5 DVD Collection

Airplane I & II Double-DVD

Blazing Angels Wii World War II Aces Game (I'm already addicted - dogfighting is very cool and very challenging!)

The Simpsons Season 11

For my wife:

Guitar Hero World Tour Full-Set (also highly additive)

A new Black & Decker food processor (she's been pausing in the kitchen appliance section pointing at one of these for some time)

Sex & The City Movie DVD

Credence Clearwater Revival collection CD

No RPG stuff - mainly because I'm pretty stocked up for now...

A sweater
Voyages of Discovery A Visual Celebration of Ten of the Greatest Natural History Expeditions

Rome - HBO series season 1

A assortment of Reaper minis in my stocking!

And as an early present I bought The Best of The Dragon volumes 1-5, that someone traded in at the game shop down the street. I got the whole set for $25, which is sweet, because my mom threw out my whole collection of old Dragon mags when I left home. So I've been on a nostalgia trip, reading early Dragon articles by Gary Gygax, Rob Kuntz, and some guy named James Ward

Things I got:

DCC 53 to 55 and Points of Light (from Davemage)

A bunch of Goodman DCC PDF's, list posted elsewhere on this board. (self)

Another Goodman DCC PDF from Lord Seurek, DCC 30.

Twilight 2013 Pre order. (self)

Shadowrun Computer Game (wife)

Cool Iron Man shirt (daughter)

Occupied Japan Elephants (6 of these), one "chalk ware" Elephant, and a couple of occupied Japan Disney's Dumbo knock off's. ( I collect Elephants, typically "lucky" elephants, but these were cool in their own right.) (wife and sons)

Lexmark Scanner/printer (wife/kids)

New wireless phone set (wife/kids)

Green Ronin stuff to finish out my Freeport books, mostly anyways. (self)

XRP modules (self)

and I believe that is it. Best haul I have had in years. I only bought 4 of the list items myself, the rest my wife, kids, Lord Seurek, and Davemage got me.

I had this kit when I was a kid - it was WAY beyond my modeling abilities at the time. Currently, I'm working on a wooden cross-section of HMS Victory - I've been working on it for a couple of years now

I must say openly sir, that that apears an ambitious project, the type of which one day I'd hope to possess the skill to tackle myself.

Verily, verily cool...

Which was immediately counter acted by the 'fight laugher and spitting soda' stare I bet.
It was a quiet xmas this year in the Bradley household. Most of my relatives are in europe. The few family I have in the states were snowed in up in Wisconsin.

My folks are finally getting the message on whats the best gift for me. Namely a gift card to a bookstore.

Although, they did get me a nifty crossbow.

I decided to help further my folks progress into the 21st century and bought em an HD tv.

Hi all

Twas a good hall for me (well better than just good) but a great hall for my 2 little ones.

My gifts

ECHO chain saw -I have to be careful watching "cool tools" and going Coooool, but it is a great chain saw

Kitchen Aid Mixer & food processor - I'm as big a foodie as I am a gamer, I've already started a base for sourdough and made the best Jerk sauce for ribs... mmmmm good food

A box of 3.5 stuff -my wife just went to Craig's list and got what ever said RPG... I haven't finished digging through it but It looks to have a lot of midnight and blue planet stuff in it, plus some stuff I'll mine for ideas.

I got my wife a good necklaces and some DVDs she is missing from her HUGE collection of movies & SCIFI shows.

My 2 little girls got a good 20 toys each that either beep, ring, buzz, clank, or pop.... Oh I'll get my mom & brother back for some of the toys!

The "family" got a WII with various games, a blue-ray and HD cable.

Alright, I came back home a little earlier than I had hoped and discovered my computer had a lovely failed hard drive, so that's a great big heap of awesome from Old Saint Nick -- lost many things, like Ruins and Radiation, SG2: Engineering Cities, my files for Monsters and Treasure II... apparently it happened at 6-6:30 PM on Friday, three hours before it was scheduled for a routine backup. Yay!

But, I have gotten over that.

Under the tree for real Christmas:
DVDs

Tales from the Crypt Season I - VII

Jason Goes to Hell

Jason X

Waxwork I / Waxwork II: Lost in Time Double Feature

Mythbusters Collection II
RPGs

The Nine Doctrines of Darkness - The First Adventure [non-TSR OAD&D module]

Book Three: Player's Guide to Alphatia (from Dawn of the Emperors Box Set, which I was missing)

GM5: Rod of Seraillian [non-TSR OAD&D module]

Dark Conspiracy Rulebook

GW3: The Cleansing War of Garik Blackhand [Gamma World module]

GW6: Alpha Factor [Gamma World module]

GW7: Beta Principle [Gamma World module]

GW8: Gamma Base [Gamma World module]

GW9: Delta Fragment [Gamma World module]
Non-RPG Books

Book of Lies by Aleister Crowley

Lovecraft Tales by H P Lovecraft [anthology]
Miscellaneous

$60 in Crazy Egor Bucks, which added to the birthday score earlier gives me around $200 in free stuff

Tom-Tom with Mr. T voice

Skull-shaped Flashlight

So, not bad.
