Good call on the Screen, adding Turning and the surprise rules. That's a score.
Here's another thought. Can we skip the added adventure, and save us a little money? Especially since a lot of us already have the first screen, and we have to weigh the value of the added charts vs. the cost of buying a new screen we don't really need (owning the first already).

I like adding something to the screen, so its not just a screen. Like a little intro to C&C module, so you can make immediate use of it. Or, maybe, adding in those graph sheets or something?
Which reminds me -- SG1 needs a redux re-release with graph paper included. Charge $14.95 for it. And, then send me half.

I'm all for added value, but sticking in graph paper would be useless for me. I can buy scads of it on the cheap at Wal-Mart. I think a lot of people would like to see character sheets included, but I can do without -- if there is an official one, I can just download it and print it off myself cheaply (I don't use character sheets anyway -- give me college ruled paper and a pen and I'm golden (but not a parachute)).

I don't own a C&C screen yet, so bear with me. Are the various combat modifiers on it? E.g., higher ground, half-cover, etc.?

I have to confess I don't understand the golden parachute joke.
But in terms of value, I do lean toward no adventure and making it less expensive, but if there is one, I think it should be a new one so anyone w/ the old screen can get a new adventure at least. If not an adventure, a few quickie dungeons or somesuch to give people a running start.
Perhaps include another set of tables that are in demand but don't necessarily make the cut for the 4 panels on the screen itself, like a CK"S quick reference card/guide. If there's anything that you hated to cut from the screen, Steve, it could go there.
I like the idea of including the quickstart rules. A nice copy like from Free RPG day to give to newbie players. That might be a meaty addition.
It's true, graph paper is cheap at any place that sells stationary so that would just be filler. Character sheets would be nice too, maybe 10 or a dozen, but the free download one is, well, free. (yes I spend money on my toner and paper, but you know what I mean).
What I think would be another nice addition is some Cardboard Heros type fold ups to use for gaming. Even if they're not on card stock to keep it cheap. A few sheets of orcs, monsters and stuff from M&T and the PC images from the PHB so it's consistent looking. Actually, many would probably have to be re-drawn so they can be reduced that far, but still.

Hmm... I thought it was on there too. I don't really use it and tend to use more common sense and a siege check if attempting to ambush/surprise someone.
What I do recall was there was a mistake/typo on the screen. Hopefully this little blemish will be noted and corrected. (Don't recall what it is but I'm pretty sure I mention it in my CK Screen review in one of the past issues of the Domesday -- issue 2 I believe).

I like this idea instead of an adventure being included. Perhaps make it a separate player's card with info they often access, like the equipment charts, abilities, maybe the xp tables. They could pass it around the table when someone needed a quick look, rather then spend time searching the PHB.

The "Golden Parachute" refers to the severance/retirement packages corporate CEO's get even though the company failed miserably while they were in charge. Not to mention the fact that no one deserves to make that kind of money.

Actually I'm not fond of the free sheet. While it is a nice looking sheet the space for racial abilities is too small and there is no place for class abilities. They could nix the whole bottom section for this and make a third page for a spell list. As well two gear sections is too much.
Sorry for the jack.
