2009 Schedule
Posted: Mon Jan 19, 2009 5:12 pm
by Troll Lord
We have finalized the 2009 schedule and I hope to get it posted sometime this week. I want to have a look over it a few more times. It is of course subject to change, but we are working hard to pin down these releases starting in January.
If anyone has any questions, I'd love to answer them!
Thanks!
Steve

A few questions:
1. Is the A-series still planning on going roughly 1 per month or close to it?
2. Other SIEGE games. Might we see one of the other SIEGE games hit the shelves sometime this year?
3. Last blog entry mentioned a StarSIEGE module. What might we expect here?
4. When will we see more Sieg modules?
5. Why am I so addicted to TLG products?
6. How close is the Black Librum to completion?
7. Is an Aihrde Box Set still in the works?
8. Will the Trolls ever return the stolen duct tape?

In answer to your questions
1. The A series is on target for once a month until A12 is out. Aufstrag is not penciled into the schedule as it depends upon the CKG and Basic sets being out.
2. I presently have Pulp Siege set for a June release. Victorious is loosely penciled in for a Winter release and James Ward's Tainted Lands is in for August, though this latter project Jim and I need to discuss.
3. The first StarSiege adventure is set for May, 09. Its called Another Fine Mess by Jason Vey.
4. Sieg is working on Halls of Adventure now, then he's off to doing Castles and Dominions. He has two adventures in the works, but they are not presently on schedule as he has tons of PhD work to do.
5. Its not because we rock, its because YOU ROCK!
6. Black Librum is complete and slated to go to the editor as soon as DB5 comes back to me (today I think).
7. I'm struggling with the Aihrde box set, the Codex has faded but we can't have a Codex BOX set, that makes no sense as Codex means book. haha There will be a box set however to put all these maps of Mine and Peter's to work!
8. We gave the duct tape to Red Fang for their [

Its a box that protects the Codex, or codex's. Thats how it works.

Tainted Lands is a project that James Ward is putting together. I will finalize conversations with him today or tomorrow and make the proper announcements. He of course won't launch into that until Of Of Gods & Monsters is complete.

We could go that route, but my love of well made hard backs would not go well inside the box. That said the need for well made and package maps does not go hand in hand with hard back books. Its a small conundrum.

I'm holding on official inserting the CKG into the schedule because I don't want to harm that product more than my previous slips have already harmed it. Rapid progress is being achieved on the book and Davis has shunted huge amounts of energy into it, so that is a good thing. I have a pile of files to go through today and tomorrow and get them in the list and I'm almost ready to start sending the first chapters to the editor, Cory.
I suspect this book will be at the printer this quarter, no later than, maybe even finished by this quarter.
Thanks,
Steve

Good news all around.
I guess the only question (and sub-questions) I have is, is a new printing of the PHB in the forseeable future? If so, did your changes to the barbarian and illusionist make it into that printing?

Thanks for the vote of confidence DD... It is appreciated.
But yeah, Steve is right. I'm in the middle of a killer project for my PhD right now but it should be done no later than May and I'm hoping the summer will see U4 Streets of Bergaine and U5 Fall From Grace. As well as V! and maybe 2010 might see a Siege Engine game on a Zombie Apocalypse. I'm still talking with Steve on it though..
Me and Cousin Ed thank you for your support...
Mike
PS: Dwarf... Its looking likely that Indigo Rose and I will be at ConDFW in late Feb; maybe we can hook up there and say "Hi" or such?

The C&C Players Handbook (4th Printing) is scheduled for a May, 2009 release. It will incorporate the changes to the barbarian and illusionist.

I actually haven't seen them yet, looked over the notes, but someone...Davis or Mac...is writing them up. I know the barbarian encompasses more changes to the actual class, the illusionist more to the spell list.
But I'll try to carry this reply over to the rules section.

Basic C&C! I'm surprised we have heard so little about it, even in this particular thread.

Thats because it has already been stated that not much will be moved forward on this until the CKG is done.
Which of course means we'll never see C&C Basic.

They're using it for something important. Sticking to the schedule.

Thanks for the reply on the PHB, Steve.
Any information on an equipment book in '09?

Adventurer's Backpack? Has that book been merged with the CKG, or just on the back-burner?
