Collosal Red Dragon oh so tempting

Post by angelius »

I mean is it called a mini anymore? That thing is gi-normous!

So tempted but I'm not sure if it will be worth the $$$ tho...but right now I can see little ways better to spend $80.

Heh, for that size I use my kids toy plastic dragons. Works just as good and a heck of a lot cheaper.
It looks pretty cool though, no doubt.

Hehe, they finally got the size right compared to earlier dragons. I've already seen it discounted but still, it's a bit much. I've picked up a few of the new War of the Dragon Queen huge boxes since they're very reasonably priced. 8)

$80?? Are you freakin' kidding me? Yes, its cool, but I'll take the pineapple that they use in the magazine ad to demonstrate how much cooler it would be to have this thing anyday. Plus, you can have a snack after the dragon is slain. Oh yes, victory is so sweet...

Man, I'd rather face that giant red dragon than that pinnaple any day. I hear that thing has 100 HD and a nasty citric acid attack!

Don't go see it in person, then. I was not going to get it because of how high priced it is, etc... Then I saw it at GenCon, sitting next to the Huge Black that I've already bought. ITs been beating the hell out of my will power ever since.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

How much bigger is it than the gargantuan black? Cause I have the black right here next to me...its actually not that big...but I have a feeling the red has got to be humungous.

Yeah, the Black is like 1/3 the size of the red. the red is HUGE!

Are you serious? That is freakin big.

The gargantuan is already like almost if not twice the height of most huge minis.

I think I have to get it for sheer size alone, I mean the face of my players when I plop it on the battlemat is priceless....

And after the battle is over, the buyers remorse sets in?

Angelius,

You have the 3E books? If so I believe it is the PH that has the size comparison page, take a look at it. Gargantuan/collosal (?) is much bigger than Huge. Or maybe we should say huge has a large range of size to it?

Meepo, I don't know if I'll have buyers remorse. Maybe if it was something I really can't afford to buy I would eventually have buyers remorse. But as it is my will save is getting worn out by the temptation of buying this thing.

I'm sure I can find it somewhere for around $50.00. when I do it will be mine!

It's a colossus from the PS2 game Shadow of the Colossus. I found it here.

The collosus looks to be 0.639763779527559 ft. tall (7.677165354330709 inches). How's that compare to big red?

At $80, I could buy 4 PHB's at retail price and give them to friends. A much better investment

I'm not sure. The same stuff as the rest of the mini's? Plastic? As to how tall, I'm guessing 18 inches. Its big! There is probably an official size given over at WOTC.

You are a bad man. For $46.00 i couldn't say no. Plus they actually had the revised Star Wars d20 rulebook in stock. I've been looking for that for months. My son will be happy.

Free shipping too!

Both places are great and BAMM has free shipping(over $25), but BAMM I think is cheaper on some stuff. Actually, if you grab their memebership ($10.00, I think), they pretty much beat ALL online retailers including Amazon & Buy. I've purchased my 1st PH and M&T from them. And I should be getting my 3 boxes of minis any day now. So if you buy books as well as minis and game books, it's a great place!

That dragon is a puppy compared to this one: http://www.itscolossal.com/

This one also costs $250.

Viszeralyn is so ancient that it is said she outdates even the gods themselves. All dragons grow in size and might as they age, meaning Viszeralyn has achieved truly colossal proportions. Her age and wisdom allow her to transcend good and evil to the point of ultimate impartiality. This gives her incredible insight, but also makes her potentially the most dangerous entity in all creation. Bring Viszeralyn to your game table if you dare.

This dragon is truly a mammoth project and, according to our records is the largest, single project ever undertaken in the miniatures industry (including pre-painted miniatures). It was designed by Jason Engle and sculpted by industry favorite Sandra Garrity. Viszeralyn will weigh in at over twice the size of any other piece released this year or in recent memory. She is 22 inches in length and has a 25 inch and 10 inch wingspan. She is over 11 inches across and 8 inches deep at the base and stands a full 24 inches in height. To scale, Viszeralyn is literally the equivalent of putting a 10-story building on your game table.

Yea, I saw that when I was looking at winning their Ennies auction for the Paladin/Ennies seat. They do some awesome stuff. Unfortunately, or fortunately, I would have to win the lottery before I think I could convince myself to buy that.
