Catalog

Post by DangerDwarf »

I see the TLG catalog is now on the TLG homepage and holy shit is it purdy!

Like the cover being shown for the 4th print of the PHB too.

The Trolls are going Major League.

Does it have a booth babe yet? I hope soon.

Pretty slick. Had not seen it before. I've got to get one of those in print form and I don't normally like catalogs.

That is very, very nice.... 2009 really looks like a great year for TLG. It seems like I picked the right time to join the club.

Hey folks,

You all beat me to the news. I'm very excited about this catalog and the way Brian has presented it on the website. We start printing them today and will make them available in the next day or so. I'll make is so you can order one, but I do intend on sending them out to the mailing list in the next few weeks.

We will update this thing every month or so as Peter and I finish the promo material for up and coming projects!

Thanks for the good word everyone!

Steve

Like maybe the CKG? It doesn't even rate a "Coming Soon"?

I was wondering if anyone would notice.

But actually I'm only putting items in the catalog that I have cover art for or at least a title logo and I have Peter working overtime on the Players Handbook cover, some interiors and a few other things. You'll notice the absence of the yet unnamed Pulp Siege as well as Tainted Lands.

But as he finishes those I'll finish up the adcopy and away we go. We'll update the catalog.

I'll get Peter to give us an update on the PH and CKG covers in a bit.

Maybe if Peter spent less time on the boards and more time on covers?

*chuckles* Considering that all I do all day is draw, the whole 30 minutes I spend on the boards a day is not that big a deal.

Course, it never occurs to anyone that I might have other projects sides what's here eh? ^_~`

Sides, If one could drag some Troll Lords on to the boards more often to answer the various rules questions, I wouldn't have to spend so much time doing so.

Heh. I'll admit, I was a little worried when I didn't see the CKG in there. The new covers of the PHB and M&T look decent - they'll line up well with Gods & Monsters and the CKG, me thinks.

I guess I'm not a big fan of the new cover art for the PHB. Not because I'm not a big fan of the type of art (I like alot of Peter's stuff), mostly because I just don't get it. It doesn't evoke any action or excitement - but, that's just me.

I think I may be more a fan of color scheme/motif than I am of the actual art. Not that the art is bad, but I don't think I can make a decision on the art until I can see it better.

I don't like how they are making the whole book red. Red is garish to me. Apparently TLG wants to make it obvious that they are "newly upgraded" in many ways by drastically changing their packaging to attract new customers. If so I do think these covers will draw new attention, but I would have been happier if they used the new art, but kept the "surround" the same old golden color with the map, etc...

Really, Tree? I didn't get that vibe, but that's me. I see it as more "rust" color than red, myself. It's sure to draw attention to itself...that's a good thing, no?

The art isn't going to be 'red', its just the base tone I'm using before I colour it. The under painting as it were.

It's also not completely done. I'll be rectifying that here in the next day or two though.

Yeah, I was talking about the "borders" if you will, not the art pieces themselves. I don't mind the rusty borders, thoughI do agree with Tree on missing the maps.
