Many wonder what I really do when I am not online. Well I made this 'home video' of me entertaining the neighbor kids. Enjoy...

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

The whole movie it is from is pretty odd but this was a scene that stuck with me.

It's a claymation movie that was called IIRC " the adventures of Mark Twain. "

I think LSD had something to do with the movie. Anyway I think I'm gonna snag ol' mask guy for a rebel demi-god or something like that.

Yeah, I keep seeing a rogue Val-somethingorother that sees what happened to creation and with Unklar and deciding the best way to stop the something like that from happening again is to undo creation. Not necessarily evil but a power to stop.

Hey, neat...I was thinking about using him as some god-like creature, too. I don't know if I see him as evil, though. I honestly think true neutral be a better descriptor of the guy. I mean take out the Satan references and all - after he's in his little realm and such I think he acts true neutral to me. Maybe I'm weird...well, I know I'm weird, but maybe I'm demented or something - he just seemed neutral to me.

Now that I think about it you may be right. However like the kids reaction most would see his actions as evil. I'm gonna play with this idea some. He would make an interesting hook no matter what you did with him.

He certainly would be TN in the AD&D 1st edition way. Not necessarily in the 3.x or 4th ed way, but who uses those books here?
I wouldnt put it past Zagyg to appear and act like this once he ascended to demigod status. He was mad for so long that he probably had a "Zen moment" close to or upon his ascension and now is a (slightly disturbed) demigod-philosopher like the "Satan" featured in this clip.

Exactly Julian (and BD)! I got "fooled," and I use that term loosely, the first time I wateched it - the kids reaction, the "Satan" reference, I was like, "Whoa, what an eveil bastard!" But after watching it a few times I thought to myself he's not really evil - uncaring, callous, and not really interested in the human race, but I don't know if I'd say evil. He does like f'ing with the clay people though...though "like is a misleading term, IMHO.
"I can do no wrong, for I do not know what it is," and the "People are of no value, we can make more sometime, if we need to," really stands out to me as being, "I' not right or wrong, good or evil, and mortals' plights mean nothing to me," kinda gives me a TN vibe. Couple that with the very last part, the "Life itself is only a vision..." mini-monologue and I get a good feel for a god of balance or fate or something along that line.

I think it just shows that a being outside of the human experience could really care less about our troubles, what we think, etc.... So would have no connection to us in terms of how they would behave.
I have often thought bout this with regards to elementals, demons, devils, other planar beings in general. IF they don't "know" what the human experience is, ie what we think, how we think, what we feel, what we value, etc... and don't care about "humanity" in general, well, from the human perspective they would be evil sociopaths.
Most, if not all, of the alignment system transfers human values and sensibilities to creatures who likely have no idea what such things are about.
Am Elemental is neutral, not because of its etho's, but because it doesn't want/need to eat us, and could care less if we live or die. You don't see that in the alignment descriptions.

Indeed. Fortunately, we can extrapolate this information. I have the same opinion, Tree. I think any force not out to deal humans weal or woe should be considered neutral. I think detachment is one of the greatest examples of a neutral alignment, IMHO.
