Old Horror Movie: Has anyone Seen:

Post by Bowbe »

Man, I totally cannot remember this cheesy horror movie from the late 80's early 90's featuring a coven of elitist beverly hills types that morph into a big orgiastic blob.

All I really remember is some s*hmu*k that used to be in soap operas with a bad mullet starred in it and that the special effects werent too crappy.

He was either adopted or had gotten married into the group.

Either way anyone know the name of this movie?

Reanimator by chance?

EDIT - No - but that had a really freaky "morph into big glob of people" too..

Killer Party? It had Woody Brown, a soap opera actor (from Flamingo Road.) Not sure about the mullet...

There was a scene in Terrorvision (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092074/) where the alien morphs into the dudes grampa and granma while hiding under a billowing bedsheet (along with a few other characters).

Kinda gave the impression of an orgy while in actuality a blob.

Maybe Evil Ambitions (aka Satanic Yuppies)? That has a porn star, but was released in 1996... so, probably not it.

Really don't think its They Live, but its been such a long time since I watched that -- do recall it being a good movie, though.

The Incredible Melting Man has a scene where a blob-like thing eats two people making out in a car...

Incredible Melting man was an astronaut though. And They Live (while excellent cinema) was about non-blobby aliens.

"I'm here to chew bubble-gum and kick ass.... and I'm all out of bubble-gum."

Roddy Piper in They Live

Ya, good little film - but definitely no blobby business in that one.... just weird skelatal aliens that looked like they'd had acid poured over them to disolve their skins.

Yeah... I'm just wracking my brain for cheesy movies that might be similar. I'm sure I've seen the movie Bowbe wants, but need to kickstart my head into remembering it...

The Film:

Society

the cheesie actor: Billy "Warlock" of Baywatch, General Hospital, and Days of our Lives "fame".

Aside from that. The movie was pretty damned gruesome. and a bit over the top funny. If you can find it, check it out.

Okay this was fun. Let's try ...

Old horror movie (again). People shipwreck on an island populated by nazi zombies that died when you yanked their goggles off.

Isn't that the great Shock Waves, starring Peter Cushing and John Carridine?

Yeah, it was. 1977. Too easy?

I got one. Not horror, but a spy movie. I saw it when I was 10 years old or so, at a sleep-over with some buddies. we watched a really cool late 1960's British spy movie, that was about the "second best" secret agent in the world. I don't think it mentioned James Bond by name, but, the secret servcie calls in the second best agent, because the first best agent is busy on a separate mission. I don't remember it being campy, but semi-serious. I haven't been able to remember the movie's name all these years. Any ideas?

Okay, another John Carradine movie: He plays a mad scientist who makes zombies wear skull masks and chop off peoples heads with machetes.

Nevermind. I just googled the words "second best secret agent" and it shows up on VH1.com. DoH!!! Sometimes the obvious solution eludes one's tired old brain, eh?

Here's the link f you want to check it out:
http://www.vh1.com/movies/movie/30746/moviemain.jhtml

funny thing is I couldn't remember the name all these years, and it turns out that "second best secret agent" was part of the darn movie's title!!!
okay, I'm gonna go hide my head in embarrassment now.

Jackie Chan did a campy movie called "Fantasy Mission Force" where they specifically mention that 007 is too busy to do the mission in it. I think they also mention that Rambo was in prison and so couldnt do it either. (or was it Snake Pliskin ... I cant remember , they did a couple spoofs in rapid succession in one scene.)

I don't know if I'd say "too easy." I just remember seeing it many years ago.

How about a David Carradine movie? Him and some cinebabe are just cruising along in their sporty car when they pass by a hospital and Mr, Carradine hops it onto the sidewalk and plows through like a dozen nurses.

That would be original death race... Evidently they remade it though I haven't seen the remake yet.

Original Death Race was awesome. Wasn't it deathrace 2000 and you got bonus points for killing old people.

Nice!
