TLG and Gary Con

Hello Folks,
I'm very sorry to say that Peter, Mark and myself are not going to be able to make it to Gary Con. Yesterday my mother-in-law went in for a routine check up and they discovered an abnormality in her heart rhythm (sic). They scheduled her for a return visit this morning and she is being hospitalized. As she lives in Ohio and I have three young children I am forced to cancel the trip to Gary Con in order to allow my wife freedom to go up there. The company truck was everyone's mode of transportation so that leaves everyone here in Little Rock/Ft. Gibson (in Peter's case).
I hope everyone understands and I'm very sorry we aren't going to get to see you all on this weekend. As you know Gary meant a great deal to everyone here and we hate to miss everyone's camaraderie.
Have fun and take care.
Steve

I think everyone understands there are circumstances beyond one's immediate control. Gary would certainly understand. May your mother-in-law be well.
Speak with you later sometime.

Heh. This is why I always qualify my statements with the phrase "Barring unforeseen circumstances. Cause they will bite you in the ass every time.
But when its ones mom, what can ya do?

Best to you and yours, Steve. I was looking forward to getting into your game, but the mother in law definitely trumps a game. My wife and I send you our best.

Very sorry to hear this, Steve. I really hope your mother-in-law is OK - or will be well taken care of in the hospital.
Thoughts and prayers to you and your wife and family!
[Gail and I talked about this and she mentioned that you and she were going to meet for lunch and such . . and she too expressed her best wishes and concern for you and your wife]
I pray for some good news on this . . . !!!

Thanks for all the well wishes folks. She had a 'stint' (sic) put in and seems to be on the mend. She was released yesterday and went home and had a plate of ribs for dinner. My wife, her daughter, was quite furious!
But thanks again everyone!
Steve

Shoot Kim, if it comes down to that, I'll take boiled chicken necks and rice over ribs.
Good to hear your mom-in-law is doing well, Steve!
