My Wife Rawks
Tonight our group got together for our 4e game and finished of the Goodman Games, Dragora's Dungeon module.
During a particularly large scale battle including many ape men and a green dragon wyrmling, game play started bogging down not only due to rules but due to two of the characters being classes from the PHB2 and the group not being overly familiar with them yet.
Half way through the battle we were getting a little frustrated when my wife uttered the beautiful phrase:
"If we were playing C&C we'd be done by now."
The other members of the group agreed and the game continued on.
The rest of the session, there were a few more remarks about C&C and we eventually finished the module (which is an absolute awesome module BTW).
Anyways, as we sat around BS'ing after the session was over with and my wife brought up C&C again.
"I like the characters, but you think we could convert them to C&C and keep the campaign going with it?"
I grinned widely.
After some discussion, all the players agreed they'd love to keep the game going, just with C&C instead. I told them I'd have to do some new racial write ups seeing as several of the characters were races not found in C&C but I thought it would be a simple enough matter. Checked with them about our A-Series game and they said they'd rather stick with HH.
With that settled, the group went home and I'm stoked.
As you know, I enjoy 4e. BUT, I love C&C. They wanted to play 4e, so we played 4e. They missed C&C, so we're rocking on with C&C thanks to my wife's little coup.
Hell yeah. Off to do some converting.

When its simple and still gets the job done, why go with anything else?
4E is fun in its own way, but when you can have all the fun easier...
Congrats! 4E is easy enough to adapt to C&C.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.
