What Does Your Username Mean?
Mine is derived from Robert. Its Robert, spelled backwards, with 2 E's added in for extra flavor.
I used it as the name of my first ever D&D character, and I got to play him to pretty high level in the 1E and 2E days, and he was Arduin created so had a cats tail and claw attack attacks, and was even able to pounce. Until he died and was reincarnated as a Ogre. Being a fighter mage Ogre was cool. Except everyone wanted to kill me. Fortunately I was a pretty high level mage , with other high level mage friends, so when I got tired of everyone screeming and trying to kill me, or at least run me out of town, I had one of my friends permanently polymorph me into something else. I forget what. SO I spent a while from then on trying out various races, and eventually settled on a half elf appearance.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Mine should be quite obvious. I'm a rather devoted fan of Traveller the RPG, especially the original (and arguably still the best) edition.

Mine is from my dads homegame where my Character, Silva, has died around 25 times. but had a ring of regeneration..... Let me tell you all, its pretty friggin funny when you get shot by a poisoned bolt that instantly kills you if you fail, and you fail....5 times.....in a row........but keep getting back up, just too die again.

No... there was something cool about some of the BBSes... some were a bit like Speakeasys and memberships could be very tightly controlled. I do miss the concept of them quite a bit.

Mine is self descriptive. I'm the CK for a game I run for my kids and some of their friends, most of whom are 11 & 12 year old boys. (My 15-year-old daughter is the exception.)

I still have a copy of color64 BBS on 5 1/4 floppy lying around in a box somewhere. I can send it to you and you can snuggle with it if you like. Or run it on any still functional Commodore 64 or 128 systems you have lying around.

It's sort of a long and not very interesting story, but in brief it relates to the group of friends I used to game with a lot. Dave had this big comfy bathrobe that he'd wear at all hours and one day his dad was like, "What are you, Don Dave Relaxo?" (Don as in mafia boss, they're Italian). So that kind of stuck as Dave's nickname for a few weeks. One day while a bunch of us were hanging out at Dave's, Ally was chilly so Dave gave her the bathrobe and she was immediately christened "Princess Ally Relaxo"... and it became a thing. Everyone who wears the bathrobe needs a "relaxo name" eventually I ended up being "High Commander William T. Relaxo" since my name is Bill and we were all Star Trek TNG fans.
SInce High Commander William T. Relaxo is like, silly, I just used Relaxo.

Forget that. Use a C64 emulator and at the same time CK your game online.
Sheesh, do I have to teach you guys everything? (j/k)

Taranthyll was my first D&D character, circa February or March 1980. He has had a few incarnations throughout the various editions: Elf; elven fighter-magic user; and lastly elven fighter/wizard/arcane archer.
It is gratifying to see that so many other people use their first or favourite character's name as their username - it makes me feel less geeky, or at least geeky in good company

THis is from another thread I began some time ago about my favorite characters/NPC's:
1. Lord Seurek Morak (9th level Fighter-Human) PC (Temple of Elemental Evil. DM = Slimykuotoan). In person game about 15 years ago. Currently the ruler of Karom in the Kron Hills (Greyhawk). Was dubbed the title of Lord after defeating the evil within the temple. Several characters have come from his family that I have played recently.
Pretty much any username I create for things online I use lordseurek for it.

If I did that, I'd be Kotex Stuart... a ranger I inherited at the first game I ever played in. I was 14 and didn't know that Kotex was a brand name of tampons for a year or two after that.... probably would have changed it back then, but certainly not going to use it now.

Mine is a character in an Endless Quest book that became my favorite AD&D character. I can't remember which EQ book he was in....

Mine is my 3rd oldest surviving player character, composed from the first three letters of my middle name and the first three letters of my girl friend's (at the time) middle name. Alan + Darlene = Aladar.
My former user name Alwyn is the welsh version of my middle name.

As a contract employee for one of the big three I had a green ID badge and the direct hires had a blue ID badge. Whenever you had any interactions with other employee's the first thing they would do is to look at the color of your ID badge, If you were a green badge you had zero credibility while a blue badge could do no wrong.

It was my email account name back when I signed up for AOL in the stone ages of the 1990's.
The name itself is from Irish mythology. Cuchulain was the Irish Achilles.
The name means the "hound of Culann" and refers to one of the heroes early exploits.
As for why I chose it...hell, i dunno...I had to pick something

Mine is the name of the evil and altogether unknown entity that dominates the northern wastes of the old Blackmoor campaign world. Any similarity between the Lands of the Egg and my current place of exile in northern Ontario are purely coincidental . . .
