Steve, WTF?!? Did you just wake up this morning and think "Gee, what could I do to make Tullis' eyes and ears bleed at the same time?"

Wow I can't believe I have never seen this John Carpenter flick. This is going on my watch list, right after the New Star Trek!

Copyright 1974. Sure looks like it, too.

For what its worth I live about 45 minutes from Benson, AZ. Which is about 15 to 20 minutes N/W of Tombstone (Benson, not me.).

For those of you who are Western buffs, Benson is where the Railroad used by Tombstone residents was/is located. I haven't stopped at the station yet to find out how old parts of it still are. It is the setting for the Railroad station in the Tombstone movie with Val Kilmer in it. I don't think they used the actual RR station, but Benson is the town they would have went to. Wilcox is about 3 times further away.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Thanks for the info, Tree.

Ad far as "real world" Arerican history time periods, the Old West is probably my favorite. Always neat to hear some interesting bits.

I put a bunch of my old 3.5e DnD books under my TV to lift it up but the movie still sucks. How high do I need to get this thing before the movie stops being a pile of sh*t?

While I didn't take the time to watch more than the first few seconds of this I was able to make it all the way through Jesus Christ Vampire Slayer (more to drive the spouse crazy than anything else though...payback for all those Lifetime movies).
