Some Suggestions For a Playtest

Post by Combat_Kyle »

OK, the SGS (Strategic Gaming Society) at my Univeristy is havings its annual New Games Day this Saturday. I am going to run a playtest of C&C and want some suggestions of what module to run. It will be a one time session so think of a good one time module. I would prefer to use a module published by the Trolls to tout their products during the game. So I guess my question is, what C&C modules have you run at COns and such and which ones seem to work best in a one-time session.

I dont spend a lot of time game mastering, but Rising Knight works for me.

I have to agree. The Rising Knight is perfect for setting the tone, and expressing what C&C is all about. Its also just long enough to be a full campaign starter, or just short enough to make an excellent tourney mod.

Since most of the guys here are probably experience RPGers, defintely choose somthing that shows off the C&C system. Make a few fights exciting with vivid description, but make sure the players notice how fast the combat is, and just as good as any other FRPG.

Rising Knight is a fine intro.

I would suggest Beacon at Enon Tor, as it is fast, interesting, and presents an excellent combination of challenges. It can be completed in one night, which sounds perfect for your situation.
