Ok anyone else going to go see this when it comes out besides me I know it has that one idiot savant in it but from seeing the previews it looks pretty good, also the Sci-Fi channel is having a marathon of the old show starting monday.

Honestly, this decision is up in the air. I'm just not sure if it's one of those "wait for DVD" movies or not.

I'm almost certainly waiting for DVD.
Unless the reviews are GREAT.
I love Will Farrell, so it might be good they way Talladega Nights is good. If it's silly fun like that, I may see it.
I still need to see Star Trek so I'm way behind. Baby will do that to ya. The wife and I used to see a movie every week.....

Three kids here (7, 4, and 1), so I know thae felling, hoss. We had to go see Star Trek, though. it was well worth it, in our opinions.

Even though I loved the show as a kid, I havn't been to a movie since Iron Man, so I doubt I'll see this one before it gets to DVD.

I try to avoid Will Ferrel movies. The guy is just not humorous at all, imo.

Star Trek is a must see Big Screen movie. I think Terminator Salvation looks big screen to.
Land before time looks like a DVD offering, as is The Hangover (which both look funny).
Wolverine I oddly have very little interest in. So, I may think of DVD of if there is constantly something better then who knows when or if I'll get to it.
9.... OH 9, even though they have 'em talking (which disappoints and is probably a studio decision, cause you know studio audiences are stupid, which I'm not arguing they are not, but here is to a directors cut sans talking.) is THEE movie I am waiting for.
Of course all this is IMO

I'm a Will Ferrell fan and I certainly want to check out this flick. However... there are so many movies this summer and so little time and money. I do enjoy seeing my movies on the big screen but sometimes you just have to make certain choices.

Ironside nailed it too, since moves come out on DVD in about 20 minutes after their big screen release (Spaceballs had it right!), I don't bother unless it's a MUST SEE or a SFX beaute, such as ST.

I haven't been to the cinema is several years. What keeps me away most of the time these days is my fellow patrons.
When I go to see a movie, I go to see a movie. I don't want to hear other conversations, text alerts or the sounds of masticating juveniles attempting to carry on a conversation without missing out on any chow time. I want to see the screen, not a selection of bobboing, gyrating silhouettes more fitting in a Dennis Wheatley novel.
I just want to relax and watch a (hopefully) good film with my friends and/or family. This is, apparently, too much to ask these days, so I don't bother with cinemas anymore.

Double check the name of the movie you are talking about.
Anyway, the first series and the remake series were both good. The movie has me worried that it is going to blow. Will Ferrell in the cast makes it look like it is going to be like the Dragnet movie. A complete waste of time.

Yeah, that too. No one knows how to behave anymore. Can you believe the last concert I went to this ditz behind me was yammering away into a cell phone?! WTF?!!!!

I didn't even know that this was coming out until the logo was starting back at me from my large Subway drink cup last week. I used to love the show as a kid (I recall it being the last blast for Saturday morning children-oriented programming; it was all sports for the day after that), but I'm not so sure that I would care to go see it now; maybe when my son is old enough to like stuff like that (oddly enough, he enjoys watching Fistful of Dollars at the moment...he's 18 months old ).
The only two films that I feel that I really have to go see in the theater this year are Star Trek and the Sherlock Holmes film with Robert Downey Jr. (I'm a big Holmes fan, and I do think that the new film looks to be very much in the spirit of the original stories).

I loved this show as a kid and now they're making a big f'ing joke out of it. I'd like to spend the rest of my life kicking Will Ferrel in the nuts.

Haha. Well, I'm not going to see this flick in the theater, but it does have Danny McBride in it. Forget Will Farrell, Dany McBride is the best.
