First they tell me, last week, that it'll be a month before they can get the new M&T and the Black Libram in. To my suprise, it's in toady when I visit. But homeboy can;t sell it to me, because "it's not in the system, yet." Well, put it in the @#$%!#@ already! So I'll have to make another trip over there. At least I can do that tomorrow, I freakin' hope.
Ever get your chain pulled by your FLGS?
EDIT - Ack, posted this in the wrong forum....can someone move it to Open? Thanks.
Do you shop at a LGS in KC,KS? Because that sounds a lot like the one I used to shop at.
When I special ordered Towers of Adventure and Elves of Golarion I waited and waited for them to call (standard procedure with special orders). One day I was driving right by it so I stopped in. There the books were just sitting on the shelf behind the register. Smiling I walked up and asked if my order was in, knowing good and well it was. The registerette looked at the books and said "No, these are for somebody else." I was so steamed I drove straight home and ordered it from NobleKnights. Then (har dee har har as the gawds laft at me) the owner/manager calls me the next day and said that it was actually my order and if I would come get it. I told him I didnt need it anymore.
Then I special ordered GURPS Martial Arts from them. I placed the order over the phone with an employee. The next couple weeks roll by. I call in (tired of waiting) to see if it arrived yet. I get the owner on the phone. He checks and tells me the order was never placed.
I used to have them place an issue of KoDT on 'hold' for me every month. Nothing new to businesses that carry comics. Except that more then once I walked in and asked the cashier if they had a copy reserved behind the counter or one left in the back (none on the racks, btw). When she looks at her computer and goes "No, we're sold out of that issue. Do you want me to hold one next month when they come in?" was when I finally decided that the friggin' FLGS was just not going to be doing business with me anymore.
