If I'm Not Here Next Week...

Post by serleran »

it's because I died. Coronary style. Massive, unrelenting cessation of blood flow brought about by the indiscriminate digestion and consumption of barbecued meat, particularly bacon.

Yes, that's right... this weekend, I'll be grilling up a bacon explosion. But, it won't be an ordinary, weak-in-the-knee experience. No. I'm not down for that. I'm taking the basic recipe and modifying it serleran-style, complete with hot seasons and cheese, to really get the heart to stop beating. I think I'll add in some deep fried Oreos, just for giggles.

So, if there is no more me soon, at least you know.

Wow. Could take a minor precaution and eat some walnuts after the meal, some studies show they improve artery function after a high fat meal.

You gotta live long enough to see M&T II in print after all!!

No way -- deep fried snickers bars are the bomb-diggity.

I hope that you are sharing this foul creation with about 100 other people and washing it down with a lot of vegetables. Chest and guts problems are not pleasant.

Egads that is some bacony, craziness. I'll be sure to watch what happens from the sidelines. You know, not to get inbetween a lion and it's mean and whatnot.

Dude, good luck. Don't drown yourself in grease while eating that joker. But if I'm going to go, drowning in a Bacon Explosion would probably be it.
And I'll swear on a stack of bibles - deep-fired Oreos are the best thing I've ever eaten, bar none. Deep-fried heaven, more like it.

And have you guys seen this? I don't know if its been linked here or not...but every time I think of the Bacon Explosion, I remember this site.

Kind of coincidental that we took our smaller pig in to be slaughtered today? So in 3 weeks we will have a home grown pork explosion. It takes 3 weeks to do the bacon and ham.

Glad to hear it, hoss.

I'm still too afraid to make and eat one, to be honest.
