Well, back to the survey..................(shuddering at the realisation of the abuse those poor books must be put through!)

I voted for the SIEGE engine simply because, no matter what gaming stuff I read at the moment (new games or old) I keep thinking of how I would convert it to SIEGE! The basic system is so simple and adaptable.

(And I must admit that the 'Old School' feel I get from the game stems from....blasphemy here possibly.....Tunnels and Trolls!!!!!! I have great nostalgia for T&T as it and RuneQuest were the games I played in my distant youth - and I never thought that at 40 I would still be excited about creating a dungeon!)

Haha...that's awesome! I'm not quite 40, yet, but I still love making dungeons. My boys are 4 and 6, so I'll be making dungeons for them someday soon. Honestly, when I was 12, I never really thought about the fact I'd still be playing RPGs on the back side of my 30s, let alone longer. Nice feeling, though, I must admit.

Woo Hoooo! I'm not so old after all!
I tell my girlfriend that I'm a BIG KID and she loves it!

Oh... creating dungeons or just playing the game in any setting with kids can be both fun and tiresome all at once! Just ask Moriarty777 ! LOL! poor guy - I put him up to running a game for me and my boys.

And as for rubbing body parts with the books... that's just not good man!

I went with other because it's all three things! Really all of it put together makes C&C the best damn RPG to ever hit my book case.

Which reminds me: Towards the end of this month, I should be free to do another session or two with you and the kids.

Actually, I like C&C in spite of the siege engine, which I am not a fan of.

I agree with Sieg. I mean, with Siege Engine.

I like the fact that it's 3e lite/1e hybrid.

I think the Siege engine is overrated. It's nice, but not something to get ecstatic over. The one save roll in Swords and Wizardry can work similarly, and is even simpler.

I have several hours during which I can do dedicated reading tonight, I think S&W will be my first book.
