Ir-rada Up

Ir-rada.

I'm not going to tell you exactly where it so I can see if the placement is easy enough to find. If no one can find it we have done our job well...I mean, er, we have to move it.

Also I couldn't help myself on the editorial comments.

Deep seated fear of sharks.
Glad to see this up and looking like we'll be able to go to the TLG site for errata in the future.

Thanks!! Found it too.....

Interesting revision for combat dominance - is this how it is going to appear in the 4th printing PHB?

Great to see a .pdf with these corrections! The community is going to love this document, especially if it is updated on a regular basis! Keep up the great work.

LOVE IT!

I love that the name is Ir-rada... HA!

Should I be a douche and point out the typos in the Ir-rada?

I seriously considered putting lots of grammarianatical errors in my editorial comments section, but decided against it....unless of course you find some, those are intentional. hahahha

But i all means! Point away.

For those unable, or unwilling, to navigate the website: Direct Link

Nice use of selachimorpha by the way. Sounds like you're becoming more like me.

thanks for putting this up. I like the personal explanations as well.

not to rain on the parade, but there is a pretty big typo in the shark stat block. The column header for the Megaladon Shark is currently spelled "Shark, Magaladon" instead of "Shark, Megaladon".

Ok, now I'm confused. How can the 4th Printing of the PH have an errata if it's not out yet?
I do like the change to combat dominance though....

It is not errata for the 4th print, as the editorial comment states -- it is a change that had been intended since the beginning, but not included until the 4th printing.

I misunderstood it too, serl. The errata sheet definitely says that its errata for the 4th printing PHB. But this is obviously different than earlier printings, so I guess it's safe to assume it's errata for the earlier printing PHBs as well. I guess we won't know if it's actually errata for the 4th printing until it comes out and we read the fighter.
Oh, and thanks to Steve & Co. for getting errata out and actually hosted on the TLG site. You've come a long way, baby!

while we're on typos, the new 4th crusade index page misspells "siege gear" as "seige gear".

Fixed it. My bad.

If anyone else spots anymore "typos" on the website, please feel free to point them my way.

Thanks

4th printing errata

by Thoom
Not sure if I should put this here or elsewhere:

To add to the 4th printing errata: Page 48, under Worn and Capacity objects. Both the old wording and new wording (as per previous errata btw) made it in the book. First paragraph:
Quote:
As such, load-bearing items (such as backpacks, sack, chests, etc.) reduce the total EV of the items inside by 1 for every 2 points (i.e. divide total EV by two, rounding down) of EV contained within. Thus, a character who has a backpack carrying a Bedroll (EV 3), hammer (EV 2), 50 nails (EV 1), and one torch (EV 1) would have a total EV for the items of 7. This would be reduced to 3 (7/2 = 3.5, rounded down to 3) and thus make the backpack's total EV 4 (w) (EV of 1 (w) for the backpack plus the modified EV 3 for the items contained within). Also note that load-bearing items and worn items can reduce the EV of the items to 0, as would be the case of a Small Pouch carrying 1 EV of equipment. One-half of 1 EV, rounding down would be 0 EV, so the EV of the Small Pouch and the item contained within would be 0 EV.

second paragraph:
Quote:
As such, load-bearing items (such as backpacks, sacks, chests, etc.) reduce the total EV of the items inside by -2. Thus, a character who has a backpack carrying a bedroll (EV 3), hammer (EV 2), 50 nails (EV 1), and 50 feet of silk rope (EV 2) would have a total EV for the items of 8 (which is the most that the backpack can carry with a capacity of 8), but this would be reduced to EV 5 due to them being in the backpack. Thus, the backpack and its items would only add 6 to the characters EV (5 for the items carried and 1 for the backpack since it is being worn).

Not sure if this one has been caught before, but on page 49 of the 4th printing PHB, the second and fifth paragraphs of the second column are identical save for the last line.
