Button to the forum, but the point of no return?

So you go to the main page of the C&C website and it has this convenient little button that helpfully brings you to the C&C forum. Great cool, love the button. So, why is there not something, on the forum, that brings you back to the C&C website? Am I a idiot and just can't find it? Is it something that has to do with forum coding?

One thing I can say, is this forum is not the only one that does this, so I don't know if it is a over site or a built in problem.

If it could be possible, that would be very cool as I do flip between the two fairly regularly when I'm surfing the forum.

We've tried it. And so far, we haven't found a way to make it work.

I often wondered that myself, Ironside. I sometimes right click on the forums link and "open in a new tab" and then I can flip easily between the two.

My idea was just to put a "sticky" post at the top of each main section with a link to the main website.

I know I've suggested this before, but nothing has ever come of it.

I think it has to do with freeyabb. Freeyabb doesn't allow linking from it's boards back or something like that, if I remember correctly.

That would actually be a good idea, hoss!

I like the idea, but I'm not sold on yet another permanent sticky.

I suggest this:

Go to http://www.trolllord.com/

Hit CNTL-D

Enjoy

That would, indeed, work.

Can't you put a link in the badge/logo image at the top of the board that points to the web site? Other board systems allow that.

Actually, as I mentioned earlier, we tried that. It doesn't work.

Ok folks,

I'll change the target of the topnav link to pop open a new window for the forum. That way when your done, you can just close the page and the TLG site will still be there.

Also, we were finally able to accomplish what we wanted to for the C&C society section, so as soon as Steve gives me some info, I'll make it live.

Thanks,

Brian
