Gaming Podcast with C&C rules

Post by bulletmeat »

Not sure where to put this but...

What are the stipulations on using the C&C rule set for an RPG podcast?

I did not see info on the website unless I missed it (which is very likely).

What are you wanting to do? Just a review type thing? That shouldnt infringe on anything legally.

Acutally it would be recorded gaming. If I were to ask a player to due a seige roll on air for example, would that be allowed?

You'd have to have permission from the people participating.

Bulletmeat, check out www.RPGMP3.com. they have been doing what you'd like to for years now. They've played D&D both 4e, 3.5e and 2e, as well as warhammer, rolemaster and Cuthulu. They simply record their gaming sessions and put the podcast up for download. I bet they'd be happy to tell you about permissions and such. Maybe they can host your C&C podcast, too. They've got the founder's group in Houston, but have recordings from others back in England where it started.

I thank you for the advice. Some friends and I have done 3.5 play podcasts (KoreRPG) and I figured with the OGL we were fine as long as we made our own world. I just wasn't sure what the rule usage guidelines would be for C&C.

This isn't my bag at TLG, but I surmise (IMO) that so long as you put the TLG or C&C URL link either at the beginning or the end for those wishing to find out more about C&C I don't forsee a problem.

Just IMO,

Mike
